2016 Fiction Contest: "Space"

The theme of our 15th annual Fiction Contest is “Space.” You may be tempted to start your piece off with, “A long time ago in a galaxy far far away …” Don’t. Leave that to the Jedis or J.J. Abrams. The story must incorporate “Space” in some way — as a theme, metaphor, or literal interpretation. Send us your best.

1st place, $500

2nd place, $250

3rd place, $100

Deadline is Mon., Nov. 2, 5 p.m.

Winners will be published in Creative Loafing and honored at our annual Fiction Contest Party Thurs., Jan. 7, 2016.
