Small efforts can lead to big changes, so Creative Loafing is partnering with local nonprofits, the Home Depot Foundation, and volunteers from around the city to make an impact in Atlanta’s neighborhoods. Called the Do Good Campaign, this series of grassroots partnerships will help raise funds for neighborhood-based projects that might not have found the resources otherwise. CL is dedicated to helping community organizations raise up to $2,500 through online fundraisers. The Home Depot Foundation has generously agreed to match contributions dollar for dollar to make the projects a reality. We started with three projects in Capitol View/Capitol View Manor, Grant Park, and the Old Fourth Ward and we surpassed our goals for all of them. But we're not stopping there. The Do Good Campaign will be ongoing, with opportunities for neighborhood organizations and nonprofits around the city to nominate projects they think will change things for the better, and, quite simply, do some good in the ATL.
Donate time. Donate money. Nominate a project.
