Well why does Georgia Charter Schools Inc DBA Kennesaw Charter School now have have $300,000 law suit. If I read it correctly their former landlord has sued them for breaking its lease and not making repairs to their former building. Look it up in Cobb County records. Many questions need to be asked about how these schools use our State of Georgia and Cobb County dollars.

i'm sure she's a lovely lady but her voice shouldn't be on the radio unless she's playing the part of katherine hepburn on her deathbed

i'm a delivery driver, and i don't know what i would do without lois reitzes and john lemley in the late morning and early afternoon. the music, interspersed with educational segments about atlanta's history and local events, is an oasis of peace and time for reflection in a world filled with a constant barrage of noise. my job is very high-stress, and it's a relief to be able to get back in the car on a run and hear something that doesn't involve people yakking for hours at a time, loud annoying commercials, and the same 200 songs played over and over and over again.
i would not mind an hour or two of additional programming at the end of each day— but don't get rid of reitzes and lemley during the day. there are a lot of people out there like me who need their help getting through every day.

The more classical programming there is on WABE, the better. We have enough talk on radio as it is. Those who want to reduce the amount of classical programming on WABE simply do not know how to appreciate it. This music will never be "antiquated".

The story of Sir Lancelot Jones and the Jones family will never die, thanks to people such as John Suggs, ourselves and a host of others who so appreciate their legacy as human beings and as contributors to the national park system. I love hearing commercials on NPR because it means tax dollars could be saved by defunding NPR - which in reality it does not need.
NPR can do just fine on it's own. I love the classicals and jazz on NPR though!

As a professional musician (performer and teacher) I'm a shift worker. I'm rarely awake before NPR is turned off, and I'm teaching lessons when it's briefly turned back on. I do get to hear an hour or two on Saturday, and however much of Sunday I can get (if other things don't get in my way) but during the weekdays, nada. I have to use the Internet to get NPR during my available listening hours, and I have no choice because WABE prevents anyone else from offering NPR. I'm always happy to leave Atlanta and get to where NPR is, which is pretty much anywhere else.

I am an innocent, Senior Citizen whose reputation is being maligned by these bullies. Yes, bullies! What a disappointment they are. Some of these so-called Professors and Deans think they are omnipotent. They won't even stop at harming Senior Citizens. THEY SPEAK WITH FORKED TONGUES. How would they like this to happen to their mother, their sister, their daughter, their grandmother, their relatives?
A wise man once told me "If you want to play with the 'big boys'---you have to think like the 'big boys'." That statement makes me want to vomit but it's true.
Don't wonder what is wrong with our youth today---just look at who teaches them and they get away with it. Some Professors and Deans at KSU are totally rude, judgmental, lack diplomacy, insensitive, and incompetent.
A man came 2000 years ago and gave up HIS LIFE to stop this corruption. I believe in that man. THEY WON'T WIN THIS ONE!

Why should Orkin have to pay for house that was already rotten and beset by bug damage? My mom waited for 13 years before she called an exterminator and the damage done by those little critters in that time we waited was extensive. The damage was our fault, not the exterminators.

I do keep it tuned in on occasions when classical music is playing (and Lois Reitzes' voice , but I've always found it frustrating that they have such a large block of it during the day...as well as late night.
Musically, I think the jazz that is played on weekend nights should be expanded during the week. I would also like to hear more news/talk during the day.
As far as original programs go, I personally don't care very much either way. The reason for this is that I download all mine as podcasts and listen to them at my own convenience anyway.

Why can't we have two separate stations like Charlotte has? They have a completely separate classical music station (WDAV) and a news station (WFAE)

Hamas is fuelling the regions problems and need to be identified.
That they aren't is an indictment of where 90% of Israeli/Palestine problems lie.

Yeah, lets get rid of that classical music. There are SO MANY other stations in Atlanta that play classical. We need MORE rock, oldies,country and rap stations.

I have a lebanese friend , who fled his country in fear of the jews,he told me some frieghtening things of what goes on there , my own ancestry is jewish ,but i am a christian , what fuels the jews hatred i dont know , pontious pilote did not kill christ the jews did . how can we stop there evil march !

about 7 months ago i was at the atlanta greyhound bus station. i was waiting on a my ride who i thought were my "friends" i was there for about 16 hours and they never showed. a girl came up to me while i was outside having a smoke. she looked normal. just a nice girl. she asked me for a smoke and we talked for about 2 hours. she asked if i wanted to walk and see the underground mall. i said sure just to kill time. so we walked and hung out for the rest of the day until about 5pm. her boyfriend called her and came up to the station. i met him and he seemed nice. we all talked and i had told them why i was there. after i told him he got on his phone and walked away. at the time i didnt notice or understand why he had to walk away. well when he was done with his conversation he told me that he had a friend that was going to be driving the same way that i needed to be. so i said awesome! i was so happy that i was finally leaving that scary bus station. he even told me that him and his girlfriend were coming with us. so i thought it was going to be fine. well the guy pulled up to the station in a black cadillac. they put my bags in the back and he introduced hiself. as i was about to get in the car i turned around to make sure my new "friends" were coming too. they were right behind me. so i proceeded. and as soon as i sat down they slammed the door and walked off. i said there not coming?? to the man driving and he said no. i turned around and the girl i had met that morning and her boyfriend were counting money. i said what are we doing? where are you dropping me off at? and all he said was your gonna make me money. my heart dropped. at that point tho, i still didnt know what he meant. i was so nieve. we pulled up to a house where there was 2 girls inside. he told me to get in the shower. and one of the girls picked out cloths and shoes. well i should just say a peice of fabric. i thought that we were going to do a movie or something. i kept asking and he kept saying shut up! we left the house and went to his "homeboys" house. where he took perverted pictures of me and a girl. then posted them online. not even an hour later the phones started to ring. i still did not know what i was going to have to do next. well it was the most painful nervracking discusting thing i have ever had to do. i was put in a hotel room for 5 days and just say there and had men come in and do what they paid for. then as soon as a date would leave my pimp would collect. one night he maid me walk the track. that was the most scariest time of my life. i tried so hard to hold back the tears when i was with a "trick." all i was thinking about was my family and how i wasnt raised like this. before this happened i had control of who i was sexual with. i had only been with 1 boy before this. the love of my life. i finally got away. i will never EVER go back to atlanta. i am so lucky to be alive! i cant sleep at night. im scared and im still with my true love and now its hard to get close to him. i just hope girls learn not to trust anyone! only the ones who love you. and i mean really LOVE you not the ones who just say to get something. girls you all deserve a great life. families, going to school, LOVE. i am now a stronger person because of what happened to me. but i would never wish it apon anyone.

And by the way, the previous post I just made was in support of the prostitutes, NOT the pimps!!! It was in support of the abused girls and women, underage and "of-age". Our laws are victimizing those women and girls. That was my main point.

Hey folks, I will state the obvious, as has been stated a million times before. Legalize prostitution by persons over a certain age (18?), tax it, regulate it, do health-care checks, and take all the church people that believe that sex not for procreation purposes is vile and disgusting and a sin against YHVH-Jzus and tell them to shut the f*** up and get a life in the real world. Don't shove your morals up my butt, and I'll get my boot out of yours.
