"All the liberal media does is parrot the talking points of the state, aka Obama and his thugocracy, repeating the same drivel over and over like the trained monkeys you are."

LOL. The irony of your statement is rich. When the rightwingers stop sucking on Rush Limbaugh's tits I will start taking you guys seriously.

Re: “This Modern World: 12/06/2012

And you wonder why liberal media, especially print media, is on the brink of disappearing. You are so disgustingly uneducated about conservatives and conservative values...

All the liberal media does is parrot the talking points of the state, aka Obama and his thugocracy, repeating the same drivel over and over like the trained monkeys you are.

Liberals think they are intellectually superior to conservatives, when in fact finding any liberal who has the ability to think critically about anything, or who even knows what critical thinking is, is soooo rare. True journalism died long ago, which is not by accident.

The only thing that will save this country is for liberals to realize that they are tools of the elite few who count on the dumb masses to stay mentally deficient enough to do their bidding. This was the objective of the pre-civial war era southern "DEMOCRATS" who wanted to keep slavery alive in the south (which has never changed). Slaves were not allowed to learn how to read, even the Bible, because slave owners knew that educated blacks would learn about the notion of independence and self reliance, the stalwart values so dearly held by the conservatives of the time (and still today).

If people begin to learn about how they have been manipulated and dumbed down on EVERY LEVEL, from the time they enter the public education/indoctrination system through graduation from any number of state manipulated colleges and universities for the past 50 years or so, then maybe we have a shot.

But with the media controlling the flow of and access to information, there is little hope of our enslaved minorities and the majority of the middle class ever learning how to become self reliant and independent, the one true "right" that every human being is guaranteed in this country. I weep for the future of our country and our world.

Re: “This Modern World

Do you realize the name of this article/toon is the name of a song by Blair Crmmins and the Hookers? This Modern World by Crimmins is on his CD, The Musical Stylings of Blair Crimmins.

Re: “This Modern World

This cartoon conveys the most imperative message in this issue of Creative Loafing, as it shows our predicament as we sit in the slowly-heating pot of water waiting for the Nov. 2012 boiling point. We seem to have no good options, at this point. It's either more of the same old no change or a change for the worse. No wonder so many people over medicate! Too bad that it is confined to such a small space allotment that many can't read the tiny lettering in the balloons. I forwarded this to many friends in and out of the USA, and due to some who have small screens I typed out the dialog of each of the 6 panels. It took awhile, but that's how important the message is. Please consider giving "This Modern World" more space for an easier read.

"So after sleeping through the entire Bush Administration, now you're suddenly a civil libertarian?"

That was beautiful.

Re: “The real life ticking time bomb scenario

Okay, okay! This stupid comic strip wasn't funny last week and it continues to be very unfunny this week! Is Tom Tomorrow running out of ideas? Cha-Chunk! Cha-Chunk! Normally I really like his stuff but this idea should have been shot down.

Re: “This Modern World

Yet another "This Modern World" glitch. What's the point of uploading them if it doesn't come out?

Re: “This Modern World

that Rudy doesn't deserve to toot his horn about 911. Then no, I didn't miss it. And after thought, I cannot comaplain about that because he threw it in the political minefield, and it is fair game.

I think you missed the point. Entirely. By a few miles.

Re: “This Modern World

You know, we put the Pentagon in that one building and it got bombed too. Jokes about 911 and ANYONE'S regret for what could have been done differently is a real low blow.
