Re: “10 things to know about Flux Night

Exceptional turnout, super unique artists/displays, reasonable food and drink prices, people on their best behavior. Who knew the Fire Station would be such a draw? Watching so many ages and ethnicities sweat to the rockstar DJ in front of No Mas was awesome. Very proud 'hood moment and great witnessing the legit CL booth. Not to ruin it, but walking along Walker I couldn't help but to think of the gentlemen who only a few days prior lost his life in the same spot. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Hate when organizations like this dont release apps for Android. Not everyone uses an iPhone and thus, were excluded

Hey WWW... I think they were referencing the original Cheshire Bridge Road -- Peters Street.

Re: “10 things to know about Flux Night

will the dancers in the back of the moving truck be back? that was interesting.

and the thing a few years ago where the dancers moved the the streets with light balls was cool to watch.

wasn't a big fan of the "let's project large images of some people's faces onto the wall while they react to things being screamed at them".

and yeah - if there is a red light district in atlanta, it would have to be either cheshire bridge or stewart avenue, not castleberry hill.

Re: “10 things to know about Flux Night

I'm guessing that "formerly the red-light district" is a reference to Snake Nation, an area of saloons and brothels located where Castleberry Hill currently stands. Pecanne Log has a good post about that history:

Flux is awesome and I highly recommend it. I went last year and it was a lot of fun but holy cow was it crowded. Maybe they'll do a better job with crowd flow this year.

I have heard Castleberry Hill called many things, but never the red-light district. Are you sure about that?

Wait is there an iron pour this Saturday? The picture above could be misleading.
