Re: “Meet the woman behind Cover Books

I love bookstores and after reading this was going to make a joke about this pretty lady going in to such an easy, get rich quick, business.

Alas, looking at her web site, I came across : It's a New Year with New Hours! Starting today, Cover will be open by Appointment Only on Sundays. So if you want to visit, just let us know.

So I guess she did just become a book gallery. My condolences.

Oh well, maybe an upscale CD and cassette player store can move in to the space.

Re: “Meet the woman behind Cover Books

nice to know Monocle is an "obscure" magazine. but at least there is a place to buy them here now w/o having to resort to B&N or on-line...

I have a copy of the original pressing of All Glitter Everything. It is so good. I'm excited for the extended version.

Re: “50 new books launch at Decatur Book Festival

If they could bring in Levar Burton...this thing would be at the next level of book events.

Re: “Crank that ATL

White music, black music, Atlanta Gee-Ay has the beat and the licks in it's blood, it's water and it's marrow.

And sweet, merciful, bountiful, beautiful Georgia has sent it's sons and daughters out to rule the scene multiple times in the past and it will into the future.

Hoagie Carmichael, Little Richard, James Brown. Otis Redding, Gram Parsons, The Allman Brothers, REM, The B52s, The Satellites, Arrested Development, OutKast, Nashville Pussy, Cee-lo. I left out a hundred more.

Go kids.
You rock.
You rule.
And you're standing on the shoulders of giants.

God I love Atlanta. I'm going out tonight!

Hey clincher, thanks for reading. I hope you've happened to catch any number of the articles, features and blog posts in the months before and since the Artists to Watch story last September.

Re: “Crank that ATL

This is CL's "white guilt" article for "omitting" black artists from the best new artists story.
