A real surprise. My daughter treated me to this hidden gem and my surprise was the wonderful selections, quality and the amazing prices for their lunch selections. Truly a gem-discovery in a much over worked foodie area.
We went there after Christmas Shopping Spree to eat some cake and take some coffe break for dinner, after good dinner at Twisted Tacos which is located next to Cafe Intermezzo and we are so glad to say we will keep coming back forever. Some one introduce me to a Cheff Derrik who is running the whole concept of the business and Derrik just explayned to me how healthy is cooked all that amazing meal and how he really cares about peoples well being. Also I met Chef Ricky there ,he is the one souse Chef, but very best Bakery Supervisor too.Ricky told me about the all new way of bread making and sugar free cheese cake they have since last two weeks. It is a whole new direction in the industry.
Iheaded there for while and I am amazed of the great way they do the business,My first time visit was rewarded by Chef Ricky Burton who inspire me to eat for cheap. He told me more about the cakes which they sale .The secret is- only the cheese cake we do at our bakery located at Dunwoody, all others we buy from Germany originaly every day he loafing and helps me to seat down on the patio.I think that coffe house has the best brand of caffe and tea selection. When we talk comparision there is none.
They have the most amazing dessert drinks and cakes/pies/tarts. Some are flown here overnight from italy! They were amazing. We will be returning! I have 4 kids and we all enjoyed the desserts.
The window between the kitchen and the dining area is covered in what looks like the smeared blood of a Freddy Krueger victim. Eating on tiles does not evoke pleasant memories; it reminds one of eating off the floor. It was weird to be scraping egg yolk off a tile; I felt like I was cleaning the kitchen.
But the food is decent; some is quite delicious. Give the place some nicer touches and it could definitely work.
this coffeeshop is what I would expect to find in copenhagen, so clean and modern, not trying to hard like starbucks, and the best espresso drinks, never bitter, and they have enough good sense to not put foam on a latte, which of course would make it a cappuccino
where to start really? free wi-fi, free nightly live music and open mic poetry, fair-trade organic coffee and the food....well, the food rocks! their new spinach salad is the bomb! i saw they even have breakfast biscuits now. it has everything i need to get through my day. i love the monkey!
Cafe Intermezzo in Dunwoody was great: Food, service, wait for seating, everything.
We went to Cafe Intermezzo after a movie and discovered they were still on an hour wait. But instead of giving us one of those clunky restaurant pagers, they had a very cool wait management system that I had to ask about because it really helped keep us at the restaurant instead of going some place else or home. They used a system by Queuent that called us on our mobile phones when seating was available. So even though we had to wait an hour, we didn't have to wait at the bar and window shopped around the local stores while we waited. When we were called (after about 50 minutes of waiting), we were at the other end of the shopping center but the system let us delay by 15 minutes. When we returned to Cafe Intermezzo they sat us at the very next table.
For being on an hour wait, the restaurant didn't seem that crowded but all the tables were full and everything was very
smooth and easy to navigate. The server greeted us at our table and was very professional. We ordered drinks while we looked over a very well designed menu. The drinks were served within a few minutes and we ordered the cheesecake - A great late night treat in my opinion.
All in all, a great casual night out for my wife and I. Highly recommended for a dinner + movie + dessert night. And being able to walk around instead of standing in a crowded restaurant waiting for a table, really kept the evening going.
I've been several times and been amazed at the diversity and quality of foods. Their desserts are incredible.
I love this place. Best coffee in town!
omg i love java monkey when i first heard some of the sandwichs i was like ok maybe not but i got my best friend to go down there he loved it and not too much longer we got our other close friends one of which is super super picky and he loved every minute of it from the 45 min marta ride to the food some of the best drinks in the world and well the best panini(spelling?) in the world im really going to miss that place its right in the middle of alot of really cool places very unique down there and not 2 far from lil 5
Cafe Intermezzo is a wonderful place to dine, relaxe and enjoy yourself with family, friends, or that date you are trying to impress. CI has a dim lite little Italy atmosphere, that incorporates an outdoor patio-great for those cool evenings or rainy day crowds. Overall, I've enjoy CI and will continue to dine here for years to come, Thank you.
