Terrible....plenty of other options. I watched Ray be rude to a customer and find excuses for why it sucked so bad.
Our go-to for Mexican, either take-out, or dine-in. But give yourself time on weekend dinner, this has long since been locally known as the best you can get and fills to the brim every Friday and Saturday, and many other days as well.
By far our favorite Mexican restaurant on BuHi. Total dive, and it can be really loud, but the food is delicious and pretty cheap.
Great patio, good food, but the service is not consistent. Either way this spot is great for soaking sun and drinks.
Ford said, "Oh what's this? I can get a discount on building supplies if I buy double of everything? Okay!!" Point being... If you've been to El Felix, you've been to Superica. Not that that's a bad thing... but if you have two uniquely named restaurants, then they should have unique identities. I guess that is the designer in me talking.
It's same menu (basically) and same decor. Food is still good, albeit on the pricier end. Just super excited to see KSM nearly fully built out. Can't wait for nice weather because Superica definitely has the best outdoor dining option of the place.
I loveeee their chicken tacos (Mexican-style)! Their salsa is spicy and their guacamole is fantastic! In addition, their horchata is refreshing! Definitely will revisit :D
The drinks were good, but it seems they forgot to adjust their expensive CT/NY prices for Atlanta, GA. $48 bucks for a carafe (much smaller than a pitcher) of the house margarita is ridiculous. Tacos were okay, but nothing to write home about. It was an experience, but I likely won't be making a second trip.
Overpriced so-so food and absolutely no customer service.
The chips and salsa are marvelous, the California burrito is spectacular. I have been there on many occasions and no matter which group of friends I go with everyone always leaves satisfied. I like the fact that it is a good old fashioned family owned joint with good inexpensive food.
I had waited forever to go to del Sol, and when I finally ordered my food, brought it home, and got a chance to taste their food, I was a bit disappointed. Every time I pass by del Sol during lunch hours they are completely pack, so I'm thinking they must be good right? The salsa trio I ordered was the best part of my meal. I ordered the carintas and memphis tacos, and the shrimp and corn chowder. All of which was just not very flavorful at all. The meat was not seasoned at all to me, and to me that could have made all the difference. In my opinion the food was just too bland, no flavor, and that's bad for a mexican style of restaurant. But hey people still folk there, so something there must be good.
Love this place.
The food here is incredible! Unique flavors and combinations that I have never had elsewhere. My new favorite Atlanta restaurant!
My new favorite Atlanta restaurant. I was totally amazed by the combinations of flavors in every dish that my girlfriend and I tried. Unique stuff that I have not had elsewhere. I can't recommend Alma high enough. They can't miss!
This is a great place with a great atmosphere. Escorpion has the best Mexican food in Atlanta. I try a few new drinks every time I go and they keep the drink menu exciting. I love the tall lady bartender Naomi. A drink and a wink from her is enough to give you that warm fuzzy feeling.
To address the appearance, no it's not going to wow you with ambiance. Now to get to what's actually important...is the food good? Yes. As a former Texan I was really disappointed at the Mexican food available in Georgia, and this is as close as I can get to home.
As far as the margaritas go, when they say they are $7, it's because they are HUGE. We are literally talking 32 ounces of margarita.
As far as I'm concerned, for good, cheap TexMex you can't beat it.
I really like this place. Just be aware that they add their own tip in the total. I double tipped a couple of times before realizing it.
This is a great hang out spot! It is always busy on the weekend and is never empty during the week. The best special(which runs ALL THE TIME) is the $4 House Magarita. The Nachos are TheBomb.com also. A very good place to go with friends to either watch games, socialize, or just eat a good Tex Mex Meal. Def give this location a try if ever in the area!
You people are funny. What service are you talking about? You come to a counter, order, get your drinks, and somebody brings your order shortly. What kind of "service" do you expect???
Don't like staying in lines (they do move very quickly, I should note) - don't! What an idiotic complaint.
Ryan, they have a bench by the entrance and plenty of bar seating. Were they all taken? I bet not. So why do you feel like you have a right to hog a table?
Good Quality Food, Good Service, Fabulous Margaritas... all this withour breaking the bank!!
Excellent Tacos, enchiladas, burritos all at a great price. I take my family and out of town friends here whenever I can. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is cozy and fun!
