I went to Atlanta Fish Market yesterday and was not impressed.
Shrimp cocktail was overcooked and rubbery. The cocktail sauce was excellent--and necessary!
Iceberg wedge was good but the tomato was flavorless. I'm probably jaded because I grow my own.
Lobster was also overcooked and rubbery.
Halibut in Hong Kong sauce was overcooked and chewy. The Hong Kong sauce is way too sweet.
There was a hair in the butter served with our bread. I just pulled it out and didn't say anything.
Everything was too salty and I had a headache after the meal.
Actually, I didn't say anything about any of the food while I was there. It was like a bad date when you don't bother telling the person because you know you will never speak to him or her again so as not to waste your time.
Do yourself a favor and go to Red Lobster instead.
Chaplins has Karaoke every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Wednesday night they have many specials and Karaoke contest leading up to finals. Great little place that has been doing Karaoke for over 20 years.
Food is great, fast and features a wide variety.
Nice tap selection!
My husband and I eat there every weekend, we drive in from OTP. Granted we always sit at the bar to avoid the wait for a table but we've always experienced good food and the wait staff is exceptional. I usually have the clams, my husband likes the salads, catfish basket and oysters. The ONLY thing that would make this place better is to serve New England style whole fired clams. The only place in Atlanta that serves whole clams is Legal Seafood and they do it poorly. This is , by far, our favorite bar/restaurant.
I have eaten at Ray's for about 10 years and I must say,Ray's is "Magnificent". I suggest Ray's to any one who would like a romantic night out with their significant other.
I was walking down the street once and a bird shit on me. I never walked down that street again.
Freshest seafood around!!! This place is an awesome family owned joint. I have now eaten here a few time since finding it, and the seafood is just perfect! Since my first visit, they added on, tripling their space, and I know why. One visit to this place and you will become a regular here. You can eat inside or buy seafood by the pound to prepare yourself. The staff is extremely hospitable, and they will only serve the freshest seafood available. A plate of catfish, shrimp, and two sides is about $8, just to give an example. Well worth it!!
GREAT PLACE... I HAVE BEEN GOING TO MICHONS FOR 5 YEARS AND I AM CERTAINLY PLEASED EVERY TIME.
THEY ARE OPEN!!!
I disagree. Yes their food and beverages are pricy but you definitely get your money's worth. I love using the hash brown's (ala Oceanaire) the next day with my eggs in the morning.
I have been many times with friends and clients and have never been disappointed. My tip would be to ask your server what is in fresh that day and have it simply grilled or Black and Bleu. Fantastic.
I had the macaroni with blue cheese and truffles, and I was violently sick that night. Won't be eating there again.
Great food and a good time was had by all. Were seated right away and our waitress was attentive and fun. We all had the seafood tacos and homade chips. Don't pass up the taco trio (blackened shrimp, catfish & calamarri). My husband calls this his new favorite spot.
and I go back for almost every special occasion in my life-- anniversary, birthdays, any celebration. Let me tell you how good this food is-- I commute from Loganville. If you earn your stripes & show your face often enough, you can go off the menu w/ Anna's blessing. My wife & I simply cannot go anywhere else. Salvatore, Angelo, Francesco, Alfredo, Anna & Alvaro are like family. The BEST in ATL!
This restaurant was featured on WPBA 30's food show "Get Delicious", hosted by Jim Stacy.
We have eaten at C&S at least 100 times in the past 2 1/2 years. Their service is amazingly attentive. I love the feel b/c it's like NY. Our friends can come from all over to meet us b/c of the perfect location.
Their new menu is out, the parm encrusted flounder is our favorite. I love the chopped salad with house made dressing, shrimp & goat cheese beignets, shrimp cocktail, fresh oysters, steaks, seabass with baby bok choy and passion fruit mousse for dessert along with their flourless chocolate and pineapple polenta upside down cake with their killer coffee. Their bar menu is amazing and this is the place to impress, dazzle, connect and savor. We love C&S and believe it to be consistent and a great gift to the Atlanta culinary scene. The chef owner is formerly with Brasserie le Coze and has a true gift. We appreciate his attention and love in this menu.
So go enjoy the rare vibe of this place. Oh, late afternoon meetings are great too. We have late lunch team meetings there and it's fun sort of hanging and yet getting great service while we linger and work. They have wireless too.
Love live C&S!
With our recent move to Atlanta from South Carolina, I was thrilled to have an "Oyster Bar" in my area, as I have been eating seafood of every type imaginable since I was a child. My husband and I entered and were pleasantly surprised by the decor. It's "swank", I would say, and had a bar and booths which felt relaxed. Based on recommendations from reviews, as well as our own tastes, we had several things. The truffle fries as an appetizer were thin, crisp, covered with parmesan and reminiscent of truffle. These were by far the best dish of the evening. I had 2 dozen raw oysters of various types and they were so-so in quality. . .which disappointed me only because they were at least $2 each! We had the mussels in white wine sauce, which were HORRID. In fact, they smelled terrible and tasted foul, as in spoiled. We immediately sent them back, however could not get the spoiled taste out of our mouth for days. I had the tilapia cooked meniere style, which was terribly overcooked, dry, and somewhat fish-y in taste. All in all, my husband wanted to give this place only one star because along with this terribly unsatisfying meal was an exorbitant price tag. I'm not kidding you, this place is way overpriced, especially for this quality of preparation. I'm giving it two stars because the ambiance is nice as were the truffle chips. Steer clear from the seafood here, however. . .I can cook it better at home. . .and so can you.
SERVICE POOR- NOT GOOD VALUE, OVER PRICED, POOR LOCATION
Iam going there to get 10 sweet potatoe pies for Thanksgiving. Need I say more?
This place is awesome. The lobster bisque is the best I've ever had and the Monday $10 Crab Leg special cannot be beat. The beer is ice cold and the food and service is amazing. I suggest you go try this place once and you will go back again and again.
The food was great, and the service was also very good. They also serve sushi which was an A+++ I am a fan of good sushi and this was one of the best! I had the "Volcano Roll," which was amazing with the eel and avocado, and well a mountain of tempura fried shrimp on top, truly one of a kind. I will definitely be back again!!
I am interested in a party of 15 people reservation for May 15, in preparation for our Yearly Cruise in June. This will be a social setting/gift giving event. Please send a menu and price list. Thanks
