This place has it all: Great Food, Fantastic Drinks, Well trained bar and service staff and over unique atmostphere. You can come with with one person or with a group of people the experience will be the same. Its nice to be greated as warmly as we are every time we come in, which is rare in Atlanta. GO to Agave!
Definitely my favorite restaurant in Atlanta! The food is consistently excellent, the cocktails are the best in the city, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. And if you like tequila, they have over 100 varieties on hand! Agave also runs amazing specials all the time, so check out their website to get in on some good deals. My personal favorite deal is their 2 for 1 apps from 5-7pm every night at the bar. Can't beat that!
Our new favorite restaurant! My husband and I are quickly becoming there newest regulars! He is originally from new mexico and craves authentic southwestern cuisine, we were in heaven when we discovered agave!! The pasole is delicious and the rack of lamb will melt in your mouth! They have over a hundred tequilas! We chose some anejo sippers for dessert. And beware, the bartenders are heavyhanded! Margaritas not for the weak! If you are looking for spicy authentic southwestern, this is the only spot I've found thus far in Atlanta. Thanks agave see you soon!
I guess if you think think a fried chicken breast seasoned with cayenne and served with potatoes and corn is haute cuisine then this is the place for you.
Most of the recipes are un-inspired and un-original.
A mish-mash of flavors and textures. Pepper pepper pepper and more pepper please on everything.
It's a shame that the food here has become stagnant and boring. Have you even thought about updating the menu, Sobel?
I would expect more from your culinary palate to be honest with you.
I will say that Agave does have tremendous service and a cozy atmosphere.
Just remember it's the 21st century and you should expect more.
Nestled in a corner at the start of Cabbagetown in Atlanta you'll find one of the city's best places for fine Mexican inspired cuisine, Agave. I've been a patron of the restaurant since it opened and every experience has been a delight. A calming adobe style atmosphere personifies the flavors you can expect on their creative and inspired menu. A restaurant staple is their cayenne fried chicken with smashed potatoes and roasted ears of corn.
To further the tex-mex theme, Agave is also a tequilla bar hosting a variety of vintage, premium and standard tequillas. I've counted over 50 types at one time, but i'm sure they have more than my margatini blazed eyes actually saw (LOL).
if you have a taste for some good not-quite-south-of-the-border, Agave is your best bet.
