Fuyuhiko Ito and Lisa Matsuoka Ito must be laughing all the way to the bank. Umi is a great sushi restaurant but what's up with their prices. They've made so much money that they are already opening another venue? Reservation only cocktail bar? Ridiculous, never would I make a reservation to meet friends for cocktails. I have a life, a busy life!
I agree with everything in this review and would like to add that this place is run by an amazing set of owners and staff. I've been 2-3 times already, and they have treated me and my friends incredibly well. Several of the service staff formerly worked for Reagan and Greg at Holeman and Finch, and I recognized them immediately. The fact that years later they are willing to follow them over to a brand new place speaks volumes for what kind of people run this restaurant. It is people who care a great deal about the level of service and have a lot of love for both their patrons and their staff. This is a rarer combination than it should in the service industry, a lot of places struggle getting it right. I'm excited to see this place flourish over the next few years. It is a total gem. And I will be a regular customer for life.

Freaking LOVE!!! this place awesome parking, great service and amazing dishes!!!
We didn't get try the drinks menu definitely will next time.
One of my absolute favorite places to relax. The bar staff are fantastic. They know their wine and drinks as well if not better than anyone in the city (can't speak to the servers, but the bar itself...forgettaboudit!). In my opinion they serve the city's best special Gin and Tonic called the "Chuck's G&T". Get it and thank me later.
The food is really wonderful. Most often we will order a few snacks and appetizers instead of entrees since they nailed these items. Try the trout spread (they'll bring extra toast if you don't want to spread it inch thick), the fried pickled vegetables, or the wings for sure. They had a fantastic pork belly item on the menu last time that I sat for dinner.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated on the inside. The old train stop is a wonderful space as a rastaurant/bar. In fact the foot rail at the bar is made of the old train track.
H.Harper does several special events throughout the year including a pig roast, whisky tasting sessions and special menu on Mardi Gras etc. I don't work there I only eat and drink there, but as you can probably tell. I'm a big fan.
Fantastic, unique food. great staff and experience. a must-try for those in Atlanta.
Condesa features coffee from Counter Culture, not Batdorf and Bronson.
had some of the best nights this past year dancing in this amazing little joint
Leon's is consistently one of my favorite places to go. The cocktails are superb and the food is always delicious. Admittedly, I usually stick with whatever special they are offering, so I can't speak to the burger, but I've always loved whatever I get.
I'm surprised to see poor reviews for Top Flr. We've eaten there several times a year since they opened and never had anything other than quality service and amazing food. The prices aren't as ridiculously low as they were the first year (and the service and decor swanker), but you're still eating food as good and creative as the stuff at 4th and Swift or Empire State for a much lower price.
Hey, Neal McCarthy…Nice restaurant…decent food…but, What’s Up with the attitude? We were at Miller Union on Friday night for a birthday celebration…Party of 6…spent $500…and, we brought cupcakes to celebrate…on a $500 bill, we were charged an extra $15 for a “Cake Cutting Charge”…kind of chintzy and cheapens your restaurant...Hey, Neal, What’s up with that?...Julie Steele, your Assistant Manager wouldn’t waive the charge…claimed that you wouldn’t allow it…said you had to pay a dessert chef to be there, so we had to pay for bringing in cupcakes…under that logic, we should have to pay for a glass of water since you have a bartender there…Hey, Neal, What’s up with that? Hope the $15 helps your bottom line Neal, because, in this economy, we can find many other restaurants to spend our hard earned dollars….restaurants that appreciate customers…Hey, Neal, What’s up with that?
Octane, I personally think someone could have poured out something a bit more crisp and layered than this picture you submitted.
For the price, the place is incredible. Great date spot, guys.
Guess I can't get over the poor service by the wait staff. My husband and I had to ask for everything...even a dessert menu. I was going to get a glass of wine with dinner but our server was nowhere to be found. The food was good but not good enough to justify being treated with indifference.
I began to wonder if maybe we weren't trendy enough to fit with this establishment's own view of itself.
We are excellent tippers...usually more than 20%. We could barely muster up 15% for the disappointing evening.
Fresh, creative food in a cute hip space. Love the appetizers and the burger is delicious.
I dined here with my family last night and it was great. Neil, our sever was friendly and knowledgeable about both the beer and the menu. We felt like we made a friend. They are working at doing the farm to table thing which is very cool. We had a cheese plate to start. Some times the simplest things are the best. Short ribs, yum. Wrecking Bar...homemade Kit Kat...our son did not share. Can't wait till they have growlers. Crowd was 20's to 50's. Nice mix of folks that enjoy great beer.
I couldn't even make it out of the parking lot due to the wall of sound. Not crowd noise either.
And please ditch the valet parking. It's a bar, for Chrissakes.
really unremarkable, especially for the "hype" and the price.
Wonderful small plates, specializing in Spanish tapas. Great wine list , well presented and you must try their Bacon infused Old Fashion.
There is always a new brew to be tasted. Ambiance is great. Perfect to go alone and pick up a chat with neighbors, or go with a group and have a good time friends. Appetizers are so good that I haven't made it to a main course yet after more than 20 visits.
