Re: “Milltown Arms Tavern

If you are a drunk and you are looking for drugs this place that has them. If you looking for meth and other drugs come on down to Cabbagetown.

Re: “Jerry Farber's Side Door

Agree with Donnie. Even on the rare occasion that they book an actual professional comedian at Jerry Farber's Sidedoor, the 85 year old host has to get up and do an additional unecessary 30-40 minutes AFTER the headliner and suck all the life out of the room. No wonder this place is on the way out.

Re: “Johnny's Hideaway

Johnny's Hideaway´╗┐ where the bouncers are thugs. Beaten up on people and the management lets it.

Re: “Jerry Farber's Side Door

Jerry Farber's Sidedoor needs a consistent lineup. The acts that appear are almost never what is advertised on the website and nearly always a disappointment. Jerry Farber's Sidedoor should suspend their cover charge or better yet, operating as an entertainment venue.

Re: “The Earl

This place is all right if you are white. They have a strange attitude toward people of color.
Racist undertones plague this dive, not only in the booking but also in the staff's attitude
Towards certain ethnic groups. Don't believe me?,pay more attention your next visit.
Yes,the food is OK.

Re: “Indigo Bar Atlanta

This club should stop going to the jail to find staff. Unprofessional and disrespectful. The whole place smells like marijuana. Inadequate restroom.

Re: “Top Flr

Guess I can't get over the poor service by the wait staff. My husband and I had to ask for everything...even a dessert menu. I was going to get a glass of wine with dinner but our server was nowhere to be found. The food was good but not good enough to justify being treated with indifference.
I began to wonder if maybe we weren't trendy enough to fit with this establishment's own view of itself.
We are excellent tippers...usually more than 20%. We could barely muster up 15% for the disappointing evening.

Re: “Connect Lounge

We went there and it was completely empty with no music and the bartender was no help on the issue of why it looked like a wasteland... So LAME

Re: “Tongue & Groove NightClub

While the venue is nice and the bartenders are friendly, the management is inherently racist and two-faced. Next time you go there take a look around at the staff. Do you see any black bartenders, shot girls, bouncers, etc. NOPE. The only black employee is the guy that works in the bathroom. There is a constant double-standard in how the dress code is enforced, with black males often being turned away in the same attire that their white counterparts are wearing inside. The only reason they have the "urban" Monday nights (which unfortunately don't represent black people in a very good light, but I digress) is b/c it makes them so much money they are basically forced to tolerate it.

Re: “Wrecking Bar Brewpub

EXTREMELY LOUD!

I couldn't even make it out of the parking lot due to the wall of sound. Not crowd noise either.

And please ditch the valet parking. It's a bar, for Chrissakes.

Re: “Studio 281

The owner yelled at me and threatened me one day when I was snapping pictures of the neighborhood. He thought I was taking pictures of his place, and for some reason that really angered him. In reality, I was snapping a picture of the smoke stack in the opposite direction. He basically came at me. I'm surprised he is a business owner, and I hope he goes belly up. Sorry jazz musicians if he does, but hopefully someone nice and not crazy will open up an establishment.

Re: “Apr├Ęs Diem

The only thing going for Apres Diem is the location. It has a great atmosphere but food not much better than you can find at Applebee's. If you must go there eat above at the Indian place and go back to Apres for drinks and dessert.

Re: “H. Harper Station

Servers did not know the menu or the cocktails. They were out of some key liquors and could not make several of our drinks that were ordered. Thought the cocktails were also very pricey. Atmosphere was not inviting, even though I love this space. I was hoping for much more and would not go back.

Re: “Prohibition

Prohibition is an interesting concept, and has a lot of potential, but there were some major drawbacks that will probably lead to me never visiting again.

First, after being seated I ordered their take on the Manhattan. When getting the Manhattan, served neat in a martini glass, there were obvious lip stains around the glass. Gross! My friend also had an obviously dirty glass. Not only was the glass visibly dirty, it smelled like wet dog (seriously)!

Second, I know this is a cigar bar, so smoke is to be expected. But to be a cigar bar with zero filtration is a bad idea. After the first person lit up, the entire place seemed to fill with smoke. A little later and a few more lit cigars, it was pretty hard to enjoy ourselves the smoke was so dense. Maybe you're going with the "It's the 20s and this air filtration idea hasn't been invented yet" theme but do yourselves a favor and invest in some nice filtration products.

Third, and the biggest issue for me, the bartender was completely rude to everyone. He was literally snapping at customers and being very caustic with the nearby patrons. I am usually an easygoing guy, but seeing this behavior towards paying customers was shocking to me! He was also barking orders to the lovely waitstaff. I didn't catch his name, but if you ever go to Prohibition, avoid the chubby bald guy.

Ultimately, unless someone begs me to go, I won't be visiting Prohibition again. I'd rather drink Evan Williams across the street, than a nice single-malt ruined by dirty glasses and bullied-in-high-school bartenders.
