I JUST had the WORST experience!
I walked into this establishment despite my FIRST encounter to order the dish I had previously because DESPITE the poor customer service, the food was delicious. I was directed to the bar by a charming hostess and that's where the "good" ends.
I preceded to glance over the menu searching for what I had previously ordered, the bartender asked "what she could do for me" I informed her I wanted to place an order to go....
20 mins elasped before she returned. I attempted to explain to her the dish I wanted and she informed me that option wasn't available, apologized she couldn't help me AND WALKED OFF. I ignored this, and decided to try something else.
The blonde bartender precedes to send her "manager" over to take my order, because I was frustrating I guess. He doesn't greet me or asks how he can help... he simply asks in BROKEN ENGLISH "you order or NOT??"
Once I place my order... I seriously considered NOT waiting... but decided to pay for my food and NOT return! WHAT A MISTAKE!!??
They bring my food out, much to the outrage of the customer beside me who had been waiting 45 mins prior to my arrival.... BUT THIS STORY ISN'T OVER!!!
The blonde bartender returns with a handwritten receipt and asks for my I.D. and informs me they have to "write all of my information down because the computer system was down."
I told her I wasn't comfortable with my debit card number being written to which she sharply asks "well, you got cash".... when I replied No.... she snatched the hand written receipt from my hand, snatched the food, rolled her eyes AND WALKED AWAY.
Keep this in mind: there is an ATM down the street.... I could've gotten cash from there... I also should have been notified this was the plan PRIOR to MY ORDER BEING TAKEN!!
The disgusting attitude and behavior of the STAFF is incredibly poor and I'll DRIVE to North Druid Hills for Top Spice before I EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!!!!!!
Not to mention, I'm not sure,... but I THINK they wrote down my card info ANYWAY... and God help them IF THEY DID! I plan on contacting VISA as soon as I write this REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
decent FOOD, disgusting SERVICE!
Please think twice before going to this restaurant! There is a very expensive scam being run on restaurant patrons which will cost you $75! The restaurant has two parking areas behind the building. Our family of seven pulled into the parking area on the left side. We had a short wait, were seated, ordered dinner, ate, paid and left. (More on the food later). The cost was $159, without alcoholic beverages and with an automatic 18% gratuity added. When we got to our car, we found that two "boots" had been put on the car -- and that three other families had just encountered the same disaster. A tag on the car required us to call an 800 number to request that the boots be removed -- at a cost of $75 in cash! The "boot remover" came nearly an hour later, and worked his way through the four cars. The "boot remover" noted that our parking location was one of the busiest and most "profitable" for the company, while he was removing the boots.
You may ask "Why were you booted?" Well, everyone in the left parking lot overlooked a sign posted in the dark, covered with graffiti and stickers, which said "Pay $3 at the box" -- which couldn't be located. I went into the restaurant to request some explanation. All the hostesses and the manager acknowledged that this happened "frequently." However, they made no effort to tell patrons to park only on the right side lot. They showed me a sign, approximately 8 inches x 4 inches in the window of the restaurant noting -- Please pay parking fee. However the sign was covered up by a homeless man sitting in front of the sign on the sidewalk.
It seems counterproductive to ensure that at least one-third of the patrons in your restaurant will have to pay a "boot tax" of $75 because your staff do not actively notify patrons of this problem. The "geez whiz, this is not our problem" approach from the manager and the staff reflects poor training by the general manager and corporate folks -- or a complete disregard for treating customers with decency.
Food -- totally mediocre. Chicken was unseasoned and overpriced. (Publix friend chicken is better!). Sides were $4 each, 1/2 cup servings. Collard greens came from a can with no seasonings. Some sides came out cold. When we asked to have them replaced, they were. There was no sign of the manager on duty "Will Hudson" who seemed to be hanging out in an invisibility suit in the kitchen. Save your money and find someplace else.
But if you go, for God's Sake(!) park on the right side of the building and suffer only from mediocre food.
The previous review has got to be a joke because this place is awful. Skip it entirely. The food is bland and boring, especially the Buns. Its not even worth writing a full review on, its just awful. What a huge let down, we so wanted this place to be good.
One star is generous. Food is mediocre at best, wait staff is not attentive. I'm not sure that the surroundings can begin to make up when the fundamentals so badly miss.
this place is CLOSED
I ordered a gyro and a supposed "Philly" gyro through Go Waiter a couple of nights ago and was VERY disappointed.
Neither had much meat and were mediocre sandwiches, at best. I turned the supposed Philly gyro inside and out in attempt to determine what was different about it such as would warrant any reference to a Philly sandwich, and found nothing.
Instead of an appropriate amount of meat, both sandwiches were COMPLETELY covered up in black olives, instead.
Last but not least, each of these SMALL sandwiches cost 9 bucks each, but did not even come with chips.
Pathetic food at a rip-off price; NEVER AGAIN!!
I too had a terrible experience with them! Businesses like this one need to get a grip in this unstable economy. Every customer matters and a lot of large businesses and small ones too are guilty of forgetting what customer service is. I will never visit this place again and will spread the word.
I was super excited about going to Footprints for Valentine's Day dinner yesterday. However, what was supposed to be a fun romantic evening ended up being a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Upon entering the restaurant, the staff gave me a rose (which was a nice touch), but that was about the only nice part of the being there last night. Service was terrible! We waited about twenty minutes for everything! Twenty minutes for our server to come to the table, twenty minutes to take our drink order, twenty minutes to bring the drinks back, twenty minutes to get our appetizer order, twenty minutes to come and tell us that someone else got our appetizer's and that they would fix another for us, twenty minutes to get that, twenty minutes to refill a drink...with the wrong drink, twenty minutes to come back so we could let them know we had the wrong drink, twenty minutes to ask another server for the drink we were still waiting for...etc. It was just REALLY POOR SERVICE!
I was extremely disappointed, but because we love the music and liked the food, we grinned and moved on. However, the kicker, and final straw for us was when the credit card machine they had didn't work. Regardless, of what occurred with the network, I feel they handled the situation VERY POORLY. They suggested us giving our card information and signing an unprocessed transaction...but they promised to call us back when they would put it through. Really??? In this day and age, who does that?? Then they suggested we could pay cash, which our "lovely" server let us know about a QT gas station down the street where we could go to get the money. Really????? Again, who does that??? Well, Footprints Cafe in Lawrenceville, GA. does. Finally, just being super pissed about the whole experience, I LEFT my date to DRIVE to a bank to get money to pay for our meal at what I THOUGHT was an established and classy restaurant. Clearly, I was wrong, and speaking to the manager was a waste of time as well. I will NEVER set foot in that location again, and I have EVERY intention of WARNING all those that I know, know what they are in for. It is NOT worth the aggravation and hassle. The food is tasty, but just be prepared if you do go to WAIT long for everything, and make sure you have someone there who can make a trip to an ATM if you have a debit/credit card.
~ One seriously disgusted and disappointed customer
I wouldnt give this place one star, anyways its smelly in there and they overcharge customers the owners n management is trying to be slick!
worst theater I have ever visited. the employees don't seem to care, the manager hides in his office and the bathrooms are filty.
I got thrown out of Rondos Distributing (voodoo mansion online) today in downtown Atlanta. I merely picked up a box of soap and got told to leave. They claimed "I" could only look but not touch. Seems this Rondo guy still thinks it is the 1940s back when they first opened the store. When will things change. Do not patronize Rondos please.
Unprofessional service. They require advance notice to cancel, but, they change your scheduled appointments on you without a call or warning--what an inconsiderate convenience. I cancelled, asked for a refund from groupon, and went somewhere else.
I cannot rate the actual service, but it sure says a lot when one haven't even made it through their doors and already getting last-class courtesy and unprofessional service. I saved myself the headache of surprise. I definately will not recommend this center.
Closed... years ago, CL.
Terrible consignment practices, I took clothes into store in June- it's November, Greg- owner still has NOT paid me for my items and he yells at me when I call to get my money and forgets every conversation he has. I DO NOT recommend this store for consignment - the phone number when googled does not match the actual number to the owner - Greg. Im fighting to get my stuff back or the money for it. If you can't do business fair, then why be in business??????
The food is terrible and/or tasteless, as is the decor and most of the staff. Went there with three friends and had to apologize repeatedly for suggesting it. We sat outside and it smelled like raw sewage. Not appetizing.
The bar is filthy, dingy and unwelcoming.
Save your time and money and go to any of the other awesome restaurants/bars in EAV.
ordered a tuna melt, which arrived on store brought loaf bread, barely toasted and soggy with ORANGE AMERICAN CHEESE SLICES melted on top.
Let me premise this post by saying I like Grindhouse's burgers. Next, I will say my first experience with Grindhouse was a wonderful experience. I went to the Edgewood/Sweet Auburn location. The service was great, actually the best. The guys behind the counter were super nice and truly went above and beyond as far as customer service goes. This post, however, is regarding the Piedmont location.
This is how my experience went. (Sept 1, 2012 9pm). We decided to order take out from the Piedmont location. After trying to call the store for ten minutes and getting a busy signal, we decided to drive to the store and just order at the counter. When we arrived, it wasn't that busy. There was a small line and by the time we got to the counter, there was nobody behind us. I told the counter girl the problems we had on the phone, and she shrugged it off. Ok, no big deal. Then, perhaps this was my downfall. We were ordering 2 combo meals, and I wanted to see if we could replace 2 of our drinks for 1 milkshake. Only after the counter girl rolled her eyes, did we get our answer. No. Ok, no problem. Maybe she thought I was being difficult? So, I tried not to show how much her attitude was bothering me. But then every response after was curt and rude. When I didn't see where the drink lids were, she spoke to me from behind the counter as if I was a child. "To the right, to the right, further, further." I honestly wanted to ask what her problem was at this point, but I was afraid I might get my food spit in. After being handed a table ticket and told to sit anywhere, I confirmed that we wanted our food to go, she responded "yeah, I know." She might as well have said "Duh, I got that." I thought maybe I was crazy, but my boyfriend was similarly appalled at how I was treated. We decided not to say anything and just get our food and go. At this point, we really regretted handing our money over.
Having worked in customer service, myself, I can say without a doubt that this was the most terrible customer service I've ever had. Perhaps Grindhouse should reconsider who they have as the face and first impression of their company. While I will not stop patronizing Grindhouse Burger, I will NEVER EVER return to this location. I'll stick to the Sweet Auburn location.
This club should stop going to the jail to find staff. Unprofessional and disrespectful. The whole place smells like marijuana. Inadequate restroom.
