One of the best burgers intown...definitely the best onion rings... the stiff cocktails are great too...
I was a huge fan of Pura Vida, so I was excited to see what Hector was creating this time & arrived at Big Sky right at 11:30 on opening day. The vibe is more sports bar-y than I expected, and the fare and big-screen teles cater to that experience. The atmosphere is gorgeously open; the bar being a centered island gives plenty of room for people to crowd around, order, and socialize.
The food was as expected - innovative and beautifully-prepared. I was happy to have pork belly coconut buns after being without them since the closing of Superpan & Pura Vida. I also had the Cubano, and the clove was a delicious surprising flavor. All of the juices sounded delicious, and the bright, fresh flavors go well with the fare.
The menu is a nice balance of inventive and casual; many casual bar/hangouts have "normal" food and they just serve environment. Big Sky Buckhead has a great environment AND conversation-worthy food.
The avocado creme donut and endive sounded great, and I'll try them next time I stop by, which will be soon!
My grandkids and I took advantage of the free admission in honor of MLK Day. We explored the museum and the grounds and found it to be quite enjoyable.
super clean very friendly staff!!! great for adults and school age kids starting adaptive sports soon Cant wait!!! check them out the location is GREAT!
Great service, super friendly, clean - plus the pizza was surprisingly good!
This is one of the best Kroger stores in town. Others may be fancier but Kroger at Ansley has the right combination of good location, friendly staff and decent selection. Other people might disagree, but I think It's a great store.
Also, mean little queens should really think about practicing some restraint when writing negative reviews. "Murder Kroger" is "the worst Kroger.... in Town!!!!". If you didn't know that, then now you do.
Great place to golf in a relaxed environment. After a round, walk to grab a bite and brew at Vortex, Fellini's, Flying Biscuit or La Fonda!
I was here last weekend, It is a small place very small. But, it is a fun place. Dj Qstorm was spinning and the music was on point. I would say try it out. Its a nice spot to begin your night of partying.
I'm surprised to see poor reviews for Top Flr. We've eaten there several times a year since they opened and never had anything other than quality service and amazing food. The prices aren't as ridiculously low as they were the first year (and the service and decor swanker), but you're still eating food as good and creative as the stuff at 4th and Swift or Empire State for a much lower price.
This is the place to be! I went to Encore on a Thursday night which is comedy night and I had a wonderful time! There was NO COVER charge to get in. The (3)comedians were really funny. They also have Thursday Night drink specials and the food was really good! AWESOME PLACE!!!
It's amazing kebobs.. But the menu is short and lacks surprises! But the dishes are amazing!
Wow, what a difference a few weeks make. Bravo to the Team at Olde Towne Tavern in Buckhead for turning around some serious issues and making my experience as different as Night & Day. I went back today around same time as last and had a whole new experience. The Team was really in Top form and Danielle-MOD & Sarah-Bartender really listened to concerns and feedback and addressed and corrected them head-on. I ordered the same items STEAKHOUSE salad and Chili and everything was really good. The Owner Bob and his son were all hands on deck and attentive to the Restaurant. The place really felt warm, inviting and you could tell the Team really cared about making Olde Towne Tavern a Buckhead neighborhood gem. Danielle was proud of the 98A inspection report (I always check…LOL). I will definitely return and support them and I’m looking forward to all the cool nightly specials and events they have planned for Buckhead.
Thank you for making a believer out of me…very impressed!
New owners did a complete 180 renovation of the Old "Sidelines Bar and Grill" in Marietta. They turned the old musty/ ratty hang out into a comfortable, inviting sports and multi- music venue! Main attractions include a wavey- gravey SweetWater Beer truck, Tattoo Skateboard & toilet seat covers art, a state- of -the- art Music Hall with garage door entrance and a sand Volleyball court next to the Tiki Bar. The restaurant cranks out really great food at affordable prices-The Western Cheddar Burger, the Chimichanga and the Loaded Tots are consistent winners!
Awesome Burger. Best in the city. Service is good as well, even if the chairs are not very comfortable. Only downside is they are very pricey for a burger.
This place is really nice. It's a bit cheaper than the other movie theaters, there's a bar and lounge when you walk in if you have to wait for your showtime and everyone is very polite and look happy to work there.
Their menu is pretty big and the food is great! Whenever you need anything just press a button and out pops a waiter to your table. This is a nice place for a date without having to dress up or spend a whole lot of money.
My only complaint would be the light on the table that never turns off even during the movie but how else is your waiter going to find you?
Last night we made our forth trip to "There", and I think now we can officially proclaim that we love the place.
Slowly but surely, my wife and I are eating our way through the menu, and continue to be blown away by the quality of the food. There is something to be said about a chef driven menu. As the owner (Bill) likes to say, There doesn't have a laminated menu and they are "not corporate"
We have had the smoked pepitas, which are spicy pumpkin seeds, and fair warning, they are addictive. The fried pickles are just plain awesome! House made pickles, bread and butter style, are fried in a vodka-beer tempura that creates a light and tasty coating. They were accompanied by a house made, dill ranch sauce for dipping; excellent! Lets talk trail mix. There's trail mix is without a doubt the best trail mix we've ever had. Smoked almonds, sesame seeds, dried pineapple, assorted nuts, including cashews tossed in a sweet/salty mixture, with bacon! Certainly unique and very delicious.
Just about every time we've been "There", we have had the crab dip. This is no ordinary crab dip. Sweet pieces of jumbo lump crab meat in a manchego cheese sauce with a citrus creme fraiche and a hint of cilantro. The crab dip comes with an ample amount of sliced Holman & Finch toasted baguette. By the way, all the sandwiches and burgers are served on Holman & Finch breads and rolls. For those not in the know, H&F bread is by far, the best in Atlanta. The crab dip is not to be missed. Another must have are There's deviled eggs. These are not the eggs your grandmother made for the family picnic. There's deviled eggs are smoked trout deviled eggs topped with duck proscuitto and pickled shallots. The egg yellows are blended with smoked trout to produce a rich, creamy mixture that is topped with a cone of duck prosciutto and drop of pickled shallots. Simply the best I've ever had. Kudos!
Let's get to the burgers. The bison burger could be the best in Atlanta, and should be in the running for the best in class award. As Bill explained explained, his chef gets several cuts of bison and grinds them in house creating a juicy and very tasty patty. There's bison burger is a double stacked burger on a H&F roll, dressed with sliced avocado, red onion, roasted poblano pepper, white cheddar and a house made, spicy mayo. This thing is so damned good, that I find it hard to look at any of the other great dishes on the menu. Served with your choice of regular house cut fries or the garlic rosemary fries, both are fabulous. For the record, at $11, There's bison burger is not only the best tasting in Atlanta, but the best price as well. If you look at the other quality burger places around town, most have a price point of $10.50 for a single patty, naked burger. Add toppings comparable to There and a side of fries and you are easily at $16-$17, just saying.
My wife's favorite is the mahi-mahi cuban sandwich. A nice filet of fresh mahi spiked with a cumin citrus marinade assembled on H&F ciabota bread with the house pickles with a lightly spiced, garlic mayo and grain mustard pressed panini style. She loves this sandwich they way I love the bison burger. I would be remiss if I didn't mention brussels sprouts, braised in chicken stock with bacon, these little beauties are irresistible!
The bar at There offers up a nice selection of craft brewed beers including locally made Monday Night and Red Hare. Additionally, Craiger, There's barman, has created a very nice specialty cocktail list that include house creations like the Mocha Bucca Tini and the Very Berry Tini along with the wildly popular Moscow Mule served up in the traditional copper mug. The "mule", as Craig explained, was a drink invented to introduce vodka to the USA in the 50's. A nice blend of Russian Standard Vodka, fresh squeezed lime juice and ginger beer. A very refreshing and light drink. My wife is hooked on the Elderflower Collins, Craigs' version of the classic Tom Collins, using St. Germain. Oh, did I mention that There only uses fresh squeezed juices for the cocktails? Another little factor that really sets them part from the rest.
I should mention the over all feel of There. The place has the very hip, cool vibe, reminiscent of one of the cool bistro pubs that you would find in Greenwich Village or the Chelsea section of Manhattan. Definitly unique to Atlanta. Other than the need for a couple of addtional entrees, There is a fun and affordable alternative to the run of the mill bar and restaurant scene in the Brookhaven area. We will be There, often!
Would love to be in on this one. Talisker is my favorite tipple. However we will be passing by the distillery next week so I suppose that is one step better. :-)
I hung out with a few friends at two urban licks in Jan and I can honestly say that I had a good time. Maybe it was the company... who knows. I ordered the Lamp Lollypops (delicious) and the salmon chips (amazing, and nice portion) as an appetizer. However I was extremely jealous when my seared scallops arrived... it actually looked like another appetizer not my meal. My friends ordered prime rib and mac n cheese to my right, and a big juicy burger to the left of me. I wish I would have ordered the way they did.
All-in-all, the food was good, great service, and event better ambiance. Perfect for a first date with a guy/girl you really like. Although you may stop at McDonald's on the way home.
Food is great here.... only problem was the service, but other than that 4 stars from me....
Very Very good time we had. Good food and funny characters. Everyone was pleased in our party. I will be telling many friends to go.
