Definitely not the best Cantonese in Atlanta. I tried dim sum here once and found a piece of the wok cleaning metal in it. HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN? There are far more superior places for cantonese food.
I've not been to The Spence. It sounds like an interesting selection (who could pass up a wine that hints of "dries strawberries & white pepper" ! No snark, I like spicy. ) but the photo suggests potential probs.
How can they keep wines in such proximity to the heat of their kitchen, much less directly above the ovens ?!
No matter the insulation, that can't be good.
I've never been to this place though I've driven by a million times.
That entire shopping center is filled with awesome Vietnamese places. The food court at Hong Kong Supermarket has the best bubble tea in town.
Farmburger? Really? It should be called pre-grilled and re-heated burger. Okay, so they tell a great story on how they procure "organic" meat, however, this doesn't make up for the fact that not unlike McDonald's all the food is pre-cooked and then re-grilled when an order comes in. Even with that, the service takes forever.
Don't be fooled by this place. Farmburger was good when it opened and everything was "fresh" and cooked to order. There are plenty of other places in town that serve good burgers, this isn't one of them.
Cool to see this place getting some props. It used to be just a lunch counter inside the Mexican grocery in the same shopping center before moving into the old Quizno's They left up most of the Quizno's stuff so you get your tacos with a fresh dose of fake Italian advertising signs. Everything I've had there is excellent.
I second that #taphead
Hop City is a great place. Kraig's a good dude. Draft Filling Station near Briarcliff and Lavista is great also
Is this a joke? The Yogurt Tap in Decatur... HANDS DOWN!
ein wunderbares Restaurant bei Emory.
This is crazy old so old it's over!
All due respect to Decatur, but I think West Midtown is the best food neighborhood in the city. It's hard to find a better group of restaurants and bars than Optimist, Miller Union, Bacchanalia, Ormsby's, Star Provisions, Antico Napoletana, West Egg, JCT Kitchen & Bar, Bocado and Octane, among others.
A worthy winner to say the least.
Krispy Kreme on Cobb Parkway.
Moes and Joes: Bbq chicken quesadilla is the BEST
Goin Coastal: Clam chowder is bangin!
Sun in my belly: ANYTHING is amazing
Saba: sandwiches are wonderful!!
Homegrown's comfy chicken biscuit. OMG!
It's the best sinful trip that I make, on the way to church!!
In my heart,Atlanta is a very attractive country, the custom here, the food here, and the jewelry, everything that I enjoy. Let me share a surprise that can take you a good mood, they sell diamonds atlanta,Cheap, fashionable.
wine list ok. FOOD SUCKS.
YES, but in 1979 Pano & Pauls scraped up Cicconies in W. Paces Ferry center & it started to set the Atlanta dining scene back afire, Setting standards in a fine way....& the rest of that storied history is well,,, history.. (for the next decade or so & well , maybe a bit beyond !) >> & for a while spun off a # of "celebrity chefs" as we call them now....
A must have.
