Too many memories. I remember we were smoking meth on the back patio and a bartender who shall remain nameless, came out saw us, shrugged and went back inside.
Awesome memories for sure... Lenny's played such a major role in my music life. My first real show was at Lenny's ias part of the rap duo Adult Film Stars. A week later we were introduced to A-Bomb who booked almost every show we did there (and we did a bunch). There I met a multitude of talented folks I now work with today and consider friends including A-Bomb, The Wheeler Boys, Ricky Raw, The Fresh, Southern Folk etc.
Much love and respect to the good people of Lenny's!!! We need more venues that cultivate the up-and-coming artists.

I met my 1st husband at Dotties! Carnal Carnival Days!

Trashed Dance Rock Party
I first saw Sleater-Kinney at Dottie's, after the show was relocated from Savage Pizza. True story.
did gucci mane ever get to release those 10 albums?
if the old dottie's/lenny's building lasted longer than the building that housed the new lenny's, why did lenny's move anyway?
This place was one of the last true dives in ATL. The bouncers turned a blind eye to pot smoking and outside liquor. The junkie bartenders would serve an 8 year old. One night I shared a bottle of Cisco with a guy named Bubba. I remember booty dancing with Dottie, the drunken 80-something owner one hip hop night. I discovered some of my favorite metal bands there. And Its where met my future wife. *sheds tear*
Is this some sort of joke?
dotties > lennys > new lennys on dekalb ave > abandoned building > new apartment complex
Much respect to Teamrollers who all influenced me heavy chevy and Second Sight Crew for taking over tuesdays and allowing hip hop heads and EDM heads to unite under one roof.. Had some of the best times of my life there...
RIP JAX of Binkis Recs who rapped his last line and breathed his last breath on that stage at the new Lennys after years of beating up stages at the old Dotties.. BINKIS RECS JFK JAX FOREVER KING
Hey everyone, it's Steve from Chewy Entertainment, I booked the bands at Dotties from 1996-1999. I remember Team Rollers, Baked, Tone Deaf Pig Dogs. We booked about 4ooo acts there during that period. Had the time of my life and who could forget the back patio!
Yes, Dottie's was a fun place to be. I played there with the Tone Deaf Pig-Dogs in 1996. We had our Can O' Whoop-Ass 7 inch release party there. Not many places were as cool as Dottie's.
Really, CL? You're somehow against demolishing an abandoned building that has sat vacant for years and is now a source of blight in the neighborhood? Regardless of anyone's feelings about condo monstrosities you can't seriously be in favor of not demolishing this piece of crap.
I miss Lenny's.
