The real problem here is that individuals, like Ms. Stanford, have been allowed to hijack the appellation of artist without actually producing art. What is displayed here is more like a junior level exhibit at a country historical museum. It's not sculpture: it's aggregation. But the genius is assembling a collection of items centered around a cause certain to establish any objection as being couched in fascist/sexist/homophobic/classist/cisgendered etc. bag of prejudices.
Please, put the display up in the history building, or the student union; the content is valid. But it is not art. It is devoid of craft, aesthetics, sublimity of thought, insight, or invention, all necessary ingredients to be classified as art.

"Billionaire should also not be allowed to buy elected officials."
Like George Soros does?
And yet the good citizens of Georgia saw fit to elect a guy who for years used his congressional office to maintain his lucrative no-bid salvaging business with the state's government.
And unless he does something spectacularly Talmadge-stupid or the minorities actually wake up from their electoral hibernation for the midterms, this guy will be re-elected as Georgia's Commander in Chief.
So stop hating on my brotha Ferdinand. Arthur has plenty of good(bad) company in dirty south corruption.
"Free speech is SO bothersome. let's ban some of it. We don't need any more laws until we trim what we've got to reasonableness."
LOL. Billionaires buying elections is "free speech"? You are way off my friend. We do not need any more laws until we first pass legislation reducing the inordinate influence a few elites have over the lawmaking process.
Dang Oy - what is it about the wealthy that makes you want to tote their water? Masochism? Or do you harbor some fantasy that one day you will join them? Wake up to the real world. They are laughing at you behind closed doors.
Free speech is SO bothersome. let's ban some of it.

"I'm with you on this one, but would expand it. No contributions from unions, PACs, associations, and similar entities. Only contributions from registered voters allowed."
Agreed 100%, with limits on dollar amounts. Billionaire should also not be allowed to buy elected officials.
"Aurthor Ferdinand might as well be the spokesmodel for conflict of interest graft and putting self interest I'm front of those of the citizens he is supposed to help."
Then vote him out. He is an elected official. The State's supposed "local control" Gop stepping in and usurping citizens' right to pick their leaders is UnAmerican. It is interesting how, with all the corrupt local officials in Georgia the State seems to have a fixation on Black-led governments.
“...I'm not legally binded to either one of them; I can't make decisions for either one of [them]”
Many homosexual couples have complained about not having legal authority or even access when a partner is admitted to a hospital, as though being married is the only solution. The lack of access and authority occurs mostly through their own thoughtlessness and negligence.
If people are claiming and exclusive/special relationship, regardless the nature of the relationship, legal or otherwise, both partners should put forth the effort of preparing the legal documents necessary to protect both of their interests: wills, powers-of-attorney, and possibly living wills.
A will allows each person to specify the disposition of all a partner’s property. That protects the surviving partner from disaffected relatives attempting to confiscate the decedent’s personal belongings that were held and used in common.
A general power-of-attorney authorizes partners to speak for each other’s when one is not present.
Lastly, in severe medical situations in which is unable to speak for oneself, a living will informs doctors of ones preferences and specifies who is authorize to speak on a partners behalf when consultations are required. Living wills should be entered into a patient’s medical records and a copy clipped on the patient’s bedside chart, so that everyone on the ward knows that the person speaking for the patient belongs there.
Even couples, who are legally married, regardless of how that’s defined, should have all three of these documents prepared, and updated regularly.

"Lol o god. How can you be so painfully lame without realizing it?"
He's following your example.

"On a side note an author making pseudo-personal remarks vs a commenter shows a tad bit of (un)professional defensiveness and lack of class. This isnt Jerry Springer is it?
If one is confident of their work they probably dont need to resort to poop jokes and derisive language"

Why are we trying to keep sick people from safer medications with less side effects than Pharmaceutical Drugs. I have 2 kids that might benefit from the use of these med's but apparently politicians know better than Dr.'s.
A law to outlaw politician bribes from corporations... er "campaign contributions."
Aurthor Ferdinand might as well be the spokesmodel for conflict of interest graft and putting self interest I'm front of those of the citizens he is supposed to help.
IIRC his shady practices have garnered even national press attention.
This is a great start. Now we must find somewhere for the homeless along Pine Street and all throughout the city.
Will be destroyed in a few years. Such a shame.
Many neighborhoods in Atlanta vote for the same machine year after year. Learn to vote for people
with brains and true desire to improve all parts of the city, not a Disneyland ,globe trotting ,publicity dog like Reed. Reed has his nose up Beyoncé s skirts at White House affairs versus hiring police and getting tough on crime. The judges are also softies and need to put these thugs away for good. Some people would not work if they were offered a mil a year. You are dealing with people that do not want to work.,period, ever. Change the culture and start now. Not cool to wear your pants below your but crack, not cool to worship songs promoting abuse and violence. Not cool to have five children out of wedlock before you are 21 and be unemployed when you get pregnant.
Not cool to steal, or kill, you know the Ten Commandments. Maybe and I am not MR religious by any means but maybe you need to hang the Ten Commandments in their classrooms versus a picture of another wanna be rock star like Reed in the classroom. And learn how to vote and change the machine that has dealt you more crime for the last 25 years. They are not your leaders, they are getting rich off of your demise!
We have cameras but not enough police. Put police on foot, horse, bike and go into the side streets
and into every ally. Oh but that means Reed has to hire police. The streets need to be cleaned up
from drugs, thieves, murdering thugs, car jackers, panhandlers, prostitutes. Actually do your job
Reed and Chief Turner. Please visit NY and see how they do it . They cleaned up
The mayor needs his donations so he will not close it
Let Jamestown buy it and develop like they are Ponce City Market. The old city hall east sucked taxpayer dollars for years and finally our slow, inept , can't get a snow plow city council and mayor finally figured out it was best to sell that eyesore. Ditto, underground
