Re: “Dillon & Paten Locke: Food Chain

I've had this on repeat for the past ten days straight. This is for anyone lamenting the vapid state of modern hip-pop but doesn't feel like forcing themselves to choke down the current "underground" cred boosters just to appear cool to the hipsters. It's simply perfect rap music, in every way.

Re: “Deerhunter: Fading Frontier

Great record, it's in my top 10 favorite albums of 2015.

Re: “Hendrix in the South

i dubbed the alan douglas produced at the atlanta pop fest on vhs (back in 1990 ish)
one of my fave cry of love tour shows, so intense
his stage banter is under appreciated...

Re: “Whores: Ruiner

I like him on record ok, but all that dumb shit he does live would irk the fuck out of me. No offense to Travis, but I'm glad they moved on. His silly shit was distracting from an otherwise world class act. The vocals definitely do not blow, they are some of the best in the genre. Seething with all the right shit. But hey, it's art, there's no trophy. Like what you like. Me, I say fuck that silly stick flipping shit.

So good. They just kind of suck you in.

Re: “Is OG Maco the next ODB?

i don't get it either, but i also don't care for the pregnant dancing chicks in that kmart christmas commercial, so maybe i'm just a sourpuss.

Re: “Is OG Maco the next ODB?

I aint got no type, but this guy is def not it. Not sure what's redeeming about this guy's music. I love ignorant rap but this is just not catchy.

Re: “Baby Baby's turnt up gospel

The song "Fire!" from their first album is still an indie classic.

Re: “Baby Baby's turnt up gospel

I will say one good thing about Baby Baby; they get a lot of cute girls at their shows, and those cute girls like Baby Baby so you know they are used to making bad decisions.

Re: “Dinos Boys get nasty with debut LP

Chase has cleared up the lyrics of "Knee High" for me, which don't say "ready to rock": "Fat man's at the door and he brought the whole team yeah, you shoulda' seen 'em. Said I had a warrant never received a subpoena. I must be dreaming. Raised outlaw, never followed with the flock, sniff every rat out, run every road block. Too damn fast and invisible to cops, I don't stop. (since I been) Knee High READY TO RIDE on the toughest team around. In the line of fire Johnny Law demands surrender. Never. Never surrender. Donned as a rider, never mixed up with pretenders, a heartless sinner. Raised outlaw never followed with the flock, sniff every rat out, run every road block. Too damn fast and invisible to cops I don't stop. (since i been) Knee high READY TO RIDE on the toughest team around."

Re: “Swans: The Seer

Record makes a great Frisbee

Re: “Swans: The Seer

There was about one or zero good songs on each side. My 3LP set came with stickers and poster/lyrics on back side. The song that they get to eventually was very dveloped well and good but not as good a Psychic T.V. or some Soundcloud.com/LegitimateEdgar consistantcy. I would congratulate SWANS for their honest effor but I alreadyy tossed the records into the caspian Sea like a frisbee
