I cant believe that Taqueria Los Hermanos isn't on this list. They have some of the best Tamales ever! The one in Tucker is consistently great...check them out : http://www.taquerialoshermanos.com/four-co…
I see some of these people do Poblano and Cheese tamales and I have had some of the above mentioned and they are very good. With that being said, do any of y'all know any people that make tamales that are "Refried Bean, Jalapeño, and Cheese" Poblano is fine for the pepper, too. We used to have a woman (years ago in Dallas, TX) that made the most incredible ones for us and since we've moved here we haven't found anyone that makes anything with the refried beans. Any help would be most appreciated! :)
Some of the BEST Tamales I have ever eaten are at Rico's on East Atlanta Road near Stockbridge. GREAT Mexican Food and Excellent Service.
How could Buford highway farmers market be left out? Their food court at males have the best masa I have found in Atlanta.
I saw that Fox Brothers had chicken tamales this past weekend, we couldn't get to the Big Tex location nor the Fox Bros. BBQ spot to get any but the pictures looked right. Thanks for the tamale expose..
Perla is a short walk from work, so it's become difficult to resist just eating there every day. I had no idea about their connection to Cous Cous--that explains their odd (but delicious!) Med-Mex selections like falafel and shawarma tacos.
You forgot to mention Red Cactus Café Tamales & Empanadas. Great tamales in flavors like Chorizo & Goat Cheese, Pork & Tomatillo, even two vegetarian types. www.redcactuscafe.com.
If you're in the Kennesaw area, best tamales by far are Noemi's Tamales - well worth the drive if you aren't: http://www.noemistamales.com/
