I can't speak to the complexities south of Dekalb Avenue -- but Atlanta BeltLine made a promise that the the portion between Irwin and Dekalb (which was part of the original footprint of the Eastside Trail) would be completed IMMEDIATELY after the Edgewood Avenue Bridge was finished.
Through various campaigns of bad information, they've repeatedly demonstrated that they have no respect for the truth and no respect for the citizens who pay their salaries.
This trail does not depend on this organization to build it. It's past time to get rid of Atlanta BeltLine, so we can contract another group to build it honestly and correctly.
First of all...Applebee's...please....
I am not averse to spending the bucks. It's big bucks for bad ambiance and attitude I don't like. I know they're there...so I'm not.
what a stupid story....
that is the problem with black people "only 50-50 chance of living"??? what kind of absurd statement is that?
just shows how stupid black people are, in a way she is right, her son has that 50-50 chance of being killed by another black male...
That's about 5 minutes' worth of time, and I am not about to give up my day job.
It's not opposition research - it's to partly to underscore the complete nonsense of Kahlil English's post, "Her husband works for the Atlanta Speech School. That has nothing to do with Nathan Deal. He's (Sally's husband ) is not at all in politics at all."
And it's partly to call him out for his hypocrisy in criticizing Not Surprised for (alleged) wrong information. Kahlil obviously did no research at all.
Really surprised to see all the hate for Gunshow. Kevin is a great chef and I look forward to the next time we visit. Maybe things are a bit overpriced sometimes, but it's not the type of place you go once a week. It's a celebration or a special occasion restaurant. If you're worried that the cost on a dish is $23 when you think it should be $18, maybe its time to just go to Applebees instead of a Kevin Gillespie restaurant.

Anyone else that has NOT been here care to add their "review"?
We had one of the most interesting and fanciful meals in a while here.
Yes, it's expensive, but you don't eat here every day.
Fill it in & have a shallow lake .
>Hard to say what preconceived notions some people carry into a movie with them, but I'm pretty sure the director displayed no hatred, mistrust, dislike, or mistreatment of women in the version of the movie I saw in theaters.
Ed Hall replies:
What makes /Guardians/ my least favorite of the Marvel films I've seen is the coupling of its indifference toward its female characters (Peter Quill's forgotten-about alien lover, who pops back into his awareness only after she announces her presence aboard his ship, is played for laughs by dint of disposability) and its inconsistent handling of them (again, Gamora's agency waxes and wanes as the need for male characters' prominence is reinforced).
Does such treatment rise to the level of misogyny? Like everything, the phenomenon is in part contextual. Compared to Hollywood films overall, I'd say it offers more of the same. Compared to other /Marvel/ movies, it strikes me as wanting in the progressivist impulses that keep me returning to Marvel's material (see: /Iron Man 3/).
@Broch, if that's all your oppo research on Comer Yates could come up with, don't give up your day job!
Do you want the postman appointed to Vice Chair of the state commission on deaf issues? And several hundred people must have donated at similar levels to the GA Dems.
That said, remind me of one tough case Ms Yates has taken on. She sure didn't look hard at recent Governors' self dealings or Mayoral derring-do. Of course, nor did her predecessor. That's why they call it the Atlanta Way.
Ditto. A hundred bucks to eat at the place in the picture, served and lectured to by legends in their own minds at common tables? Knock yourself out lemming foodies....
If I spend a hundred bucks I want mood lighting and a booth...for a start....
Herzog - a giant among dwarves....
You can only write this because Deacon Burton and his son hung up their skillets. Before then, there was no competition.
Beware! Yes, they have a valet, but it is paid, not complementary, and not cheap. The longer you stay the more you pay. Count on adding $5-10 to your experience. Tips not included.
You couldn't pay me to go inside this place, and I live in the neighborhood. It is like a snootier version of Fogo de Chao. The chefs make what they make and then race around the room doling it out to people at road gang tables.
No thanks. "Frenetic" is not the first word that comes to mind when I think of pleasant dining experiences. In fact, it is not a word that ever comes to mind.
@ Kahlil English
You shouldn't chide another poster about wrong information until you've checked your own. Here's something to reflect on.
1. Comer Yates is the Executive Director at the Atlanta Speech School - the top ranked staff member, not just another employee.
2. As a Democrat, he ran against Cynthia McKinney for the 4th District US Congress seat in 1996 and lost in the primary. He ran for the same seat in 1994 and lost to John Linder in the general election.
3. He contributed $1,000 to Michele Nunn's campaign this year.
4. He contributed $1,155 to President Obama's campaign in 2012 and $2,300 in 2008.
He's obviously a political being with substantial ties to the Democratic Party. Some might say his contributions are stealth contributions for his wife, who is not to appear partisan.
When the inconvenience of standstill traffic, lasting 90 minutes, spells multiple collective responses such as "just run them over" this ladies and gentlemen is a psychotic /sociopathic mind set, that has become an acceptable STANDARD.
The silent Presuppositions that a traffic jam entices more rage than the oppression brought on by those who are sworn by oath to protect us, denotes a retardation of logic becoming a STANDARD.
YOU people, with your opinions, and eyes tightly closed, stick to your f#(+ing day jobs.
That's all your really concerned about anyways... Your careers, and picket fences have consumed your precious limited time alive, consumed your minds to the point where your blindness is the only thing that brings you COMFORT....
You people who have replaced your own souls, replaced your essence with that of a full time job.
You know who you are, and your probably getting pissed off reading this.
Well, I own my own company, work almost everyday, but that has nothing to do with me being HONEST about what's real.
What SANE thought makes YOU people, who - in the name of comfort - ignore injustice, think you are ANYONE qualified to say anything other than "aww another traffic jammm.... :("
It's certainly not sane one.
@ Kahlil English
"Her husband works for the Atlanta Speech School. That has nothing to do with Nathan Deal."
Maybe not at the school, but he has contacts outside of school. Recently reappointed for his second term by Governor Nathan Deal, Mr. Yates serves as Vice Chair of the Georgia Commission on Hearing Impaired and Deaf Persons and is past President of the Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools.
Looks like I will get a chance to listen in March:
The problem is that we use the word "racist" too much. No, it's not that racism is too prevalent; it's that we're being too dismissive of people's irrational hatred. Less honesty and more reflection is what we need.
