Remember when Georgia was named the most corrupt state in the US and the political establishment was outraged by the rating? Good times... good times.
WWW, don't forget about all the funny business in Gwinnett with their insider land deals. Corruption is an equal opportunity employer. If there's anything good to say about the DeKalb situation it's that the local DA was able to bring charges instead of it needing to be done by an outside law enforcement agency like happens in Gwinnett. There seems to be something about that CEO title though that just begs for corruption. Guess this is more of the "government should run like a business" philosophy.
Think we should start a betting pool on how long each of the different metro counties can go without a major elected official being indicted.

Thanks cqholt for confirming what this stadium is really about: it's a dick waiving contest. Think we could find a way to do that without giving Arthur Blank over half a billion dollars in public money for his shrine to himself. Meanwhile real world class cities will improve the livability for all citizens while we jump on the 1970s bandwagon of one-upmanship in professional sports facilities. At least we're better than Tulsa or Walla Walla. Can't wait for the new mural at the airport showing that Atlanta has a bigger dick than Dallas. That should be much more interesting that the kid in the diaper photo we currently get treated to on the way to baggage claim. And this way every person who comes to town will get to see why they have to pay extra for their hotel to service Arthur Blank's bank account.
Re: “George Packer talks 'The Unwinding' of America”
