Re: “No. 1 — Atlanta Police Chief Richard Pennington: Can't convince residents that crime is down

This past Friday, Dec. 4, a friend, 21year old Kavader M. McKibben, he went by Montez, was murdered. He was a clerk at the Moreland Package. He was killed in an attempted robbery. There has been little media coverage. On Monday at 7pm there will be a candle lit vigil.
Please come out and show respect for a wonderful young man taken way before his time.

The Vigil will be across the street from the store. Its just south of the Edgewood retail district.

Re: “No. 6 — UGA quarterback Joe Cox: Can't maximize his team's penetration

@teresaabbott: I do know that the game is in Jacksonville. In fact, it's what my original story said, but was changed incorrectly during the editing process. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. The error has been fixed.

Re: “No. 5 — Midtown neighborhood activists: Can't stop nightclub from pouring booze

A more accurate title would be 'Atlanta's Most Popular Means of Getting City Hall Approval - No. 1 - Pay Off'.

There's no other way to explain the city's disregard for the local citizen opinion in favor of a heavily cash run business.

The License Review Board's tendency to rubber stamp liquor license applications is actually a widespread problem throughout the city...

Re: “No. 6 — UGA quarterback Joe Cox: Can't maximize his team's penetration

Debbie, if you went to UGA, why did you not know the game is not played in GAINESVILLE - it is JACKSONVILLE.

Re: “No. 6 — UGA quarterback Joe Cox: Can't maximize his team's penetration

Has everyone missed the boat on this article?????
First of all, get the facts straight - UGA-Florida game is NOT PLAYED in Gainesville, FL or GA!!!!
Second of all, I AM UGA and I do not agree with this article at all.
Joe Cox is not the only bulldog on the field. There is no I in TEAM. This is a team and the team sticks together. Alot better than the fans I hear in the stands. No, I am not happy about the results this season but I can bet that the players and the coaches are working their ___es off. I know, I am the mother of a UGA FOOTBALL PLAYER AND STUDENT!
Go Dawgs, a football supporter!

Re: “No. 6 — UGA quarterback Joe Cox: Can't maximize his team's penetration

Whoever wrote this article is obviously some tight jeans, fixed gear riding, Ga Tech wannabe hipster, who cannot stand the fact that UGA has owned the Nerds from for the past 50 years.

As a UGA fan and Alum, no I don't like the results we are getting from Cox either, and will not be too sad to see him go next year.

Talking about how "the Tennessee Tech game game with a $475,000 UGA buyout".... know your shit....EVERY UGA home game profits the UGA Athletic Department around $1.2 Milion in ticket sales and overall revenue from gameday. Thats the difference in UGA scheduling these types of games and Tech doing the same.... Tech has thousands of empty seats in that little 55,000 seat stadium regardless of who they are playing. UGA sells out regardless of who they are playing.

Nice low blow whoever the author of this article is, being that Cox is out in Athens, and may or may not have ever stepped foot in Atlanta. In the time it took you to write this article, 7 tech students got mugged. And each of them forgot to buy tickets to your Thursday night games against those MIGHTY ACC opponents.

TO HELL WITH GEORGIA TECH

Re: “3. Deisha Oliver: Can't play her cello because some jerk sat on her bow and broke it

ahhhh i feel bad saying this but . give me a break.

for the love of god just go to any retail music store and buy a student bow for under $100 until you get the other one repaired and start playing instead of all this nonsense.

Re: “3. Deisha Oliver: Can't play her cello because some jerk sat on her bow and broke it

I don't understand this. I am a cellist, and if my expensive bow broke i would play with the cheapest bow, or anything i could fucking find. until i got the money to fix it in the meantime....
