The modern slavery is done by blacks, to blacks, with a fancy name: welfare. They enslave themselves and their own children and then grand children into this system. And they call this form of enslavement good.
who did michelangelo think he was, carving a pieta. christ was dead for 1500 years!! get over it already
Today blacks are enslaved by their obsession with old insults instead of real life. Artists who keep serving this same old bread are dullards and their offerings stale.
Slavery has persisted in so many countries. Brazil was the last one to abolish it and today the problem is growing again !
But no petition to end slavery or poverty can help. Action has to be concrete and specific - sometimes as part of a campaign to change a law can cause huge changes. And sometimes, it's all about raising awareness to put pressure on politicians and citizens alike - especially when it's about slavery and human rights. Good example - and a bit of self-promotion :) - a documentary on slavery in Brazil (http://www.indiegogo.com/slaveryinbrazil)

I know that Wonderroot will go in an amazing direction with Maggie's input. She already shows dedication, strength in arts development, and a kick-ass attitude towards social change in Atlanta! Way to go WR!
St. Louis lost a terrific arts leader when Maggie Ginestra moved to Atlanta. I hope your communities appreciate her brilliance. You're going to be amazed at what she is able to accomplish.
Maggie is amazing!!!!!
This looks great! Fairy Tales are supposed to be darker. The original fairy tales were practically horror stories. I'm currently writing a series of fairy tales and sometimes I post them at my site: http://www.planetkibi.com/fairy-tales.html Please feel free to have a look :)
Yarn Bombing is open to public participation… Come out and join in.... the members of Sixfold Collective are Amandine Drouet, Ann Rowles, Susan Ker-seymer, Terri Dilling and Leisa Rich. Look from Moreland all the way beyond Highland and next to the Carter Center along the path for our installation and others.
Also, http://modern-atlanta.org/ma/edge-conditio…
YAF Atlanta has sponsored the public installation "Edge Condition" at Octane Coffee Bar, up all week during the event.
The yarn bombing will be located by the Carter Center on Freedom Parkway, not actually at Moreland Ave.
I saw Rashid speak years ago when I was still in college. Very inspiring!!! I highly recommend. Think I might need a refreshing dose of inspiration and will attend again.
This event has been canceled due to icy roads. Ticket holders should contact the Ferst Center Box Office when the Georgia Tech campus reopens for regular business hours at 404-894-9600.
