Love ya Blondie....I knew you 30 years ago when I worked at the old Centerfold downtown and later the Brass Monkey......Liz
Sorry, no left turn.
For a nickname, how about "Ticket Trap?" Faded"No Turn Sign" hidden on right side is a money maker for the city.
Yes people make Atlanta out to be something it's not. Atlanta really isn't a city like New York City or Boston or Philadelphia, these are real cities and these cities are the way cities are suppose to look. Cities downtowns are suppose to be busy with people walking up and down the streets and buses and taxis going up and down the streets and catching the subway but Atlanta doesn't have any thing like that and that's why Atlanta is not a city. Atlanta is a huge suburb with a dead downtown and I hate Peachtree Street, this is one street that I'm really getting sick of hearing about. Atlanta is a dead city with rednecks and country people and rappers. Atlanta doesn't have entertainment like northern cities do. These southern cities are dead and boring.
No. We are not proud of that.
I've always felt like Atlanta was a series of strip malls and a few high rise office buildings desperately pretending to be something it just isn't. "The Hollywood of the South!" Just because a few low-budget movies get filmed here does not make it L.A. "The New York of the South!" Just because there's a smattering of taxis and some tall buildings does not make it Manhattan. Twenty years ago people were dreaming this was the new L.A., and 20 years later, they're still dreaming.
Piedmont Park was ten times better when it was run down and dangerous. In it's present state, it's like a John's Creek Neighborhood Association project.
Actually the sons of Frederick Law Olmsted were the ones who redesigned Piedmont Park. And I quote: "In the early 20th century, a redesign plan called the Olmsted plan, was begun by the sons of New York Central Park architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. "
Good to know!
butthole of america
When you say "The D" I don't know if you're talking about Dallas or Detroit. I hear both all the time. Both are valid, so neither are valid.
Sorry, but this city blows. Long live New York!
Atlanta Advocate probably lives in Gwinnett. Bitter much?
because we have THE RIGHTEOUS ROOM.
Best lil' hole in the wall around town.
Because we have The Righteous Room.
actually Frederick Law Olmsted designed Central Park and did the redesign on Piedmont Park after Joseph Forsyth Johnson
Atlanta: We Excel at Mediocrity.
My concern is the HIV problem connected to Gay. According to a report from one of the top poz dating and support service PozKiss.com , their gay members continuously increased these years.
Terminus - ahaha, did you really just ask someone if they wanted to meet up for a fight? How's that supposed to work? You both show up and ask "hey are you the one who was arguing with me on clatl.com?" and then with an acknowledging nod, you go into karate poses?
What are you, 12?
There are three interstates leading out of here and Delta's ready when you are.
