Enjoyed the great shots. Being a native Atlantan, they show the diversity of it's people, places, and events. A very different perspective from the city I grew up in during the 60's and 70's. Back then, I don't think 99% of the people would have been able to define the word "sushi", besides having ever eaten any.
There's something about the megaphone picture that I don't like. I don't know what it is, and maybe that makes it a good picture. I think it may be the aggression--don't get me wrong the aggression is completely justifiable in the Martin/Zimmerman case. I for some reason can't help but see this woman having the same level of aggression at the Kroger on RDA and Cascade after the checkout person does something wrong.
a bunch of really great stuff here... well done, y'all. looking fwd to how y'all document 2014!
Do they have an open mic night at Southern Comfort?

Avondale is Lame and that's how we like it! http://keep-avondale-estates-lame.org

I am the owner of this image and would like the image removed. I am trying to enhance my professional identity across the net, and would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for the response Debbie. What I meant was, you went way outside the perimeter on the North side, while only mentioning 2 in-own schools that are barely south of I-20. It's not so much a complaint as a lament for a very common occurrence.
Debbie, are you a saint or a masochist for going out of your way to help enlighten people who clearly didn't read your article, but yet found it necessary to attempt to complain about it?
@Henry M Carter Mba: Not at all. I'm saying the opposite. If you read the story, you'll see that we included capitol view in the list because there are two colleges located in that neighborhood. It is the fourth blurb in the list.
@doublephantom: you're absolutely right, which is why the blurb on Tucker says the following: "Tucker's a relatively short drive from Decatur, a neighborhood known for its dining options, including special-occasion treats like Cakes & Ale and No. 246," - The idea was to point out nearby destinations in addition to neighborhood highlights.
Greetings Debbie. To get clarity are you saying that Atlanta Technical College and Atlanta Metropolitan College are not relevant enough to be of interest to new students in the area?
No. 246 and Cakes and Ale couldn't be more in Decatur, not in Tucker.
Delia's is so much more than hot dogs! Obviously I love the place.
They have chicken sausage slingers with hot dog fixin's that are very good.
The chicken sliders are so good you might get hooked. I did until I tried other things on the menu.
I am a HUGE fan of the chicken meatball grinder. It's the best Italian meatball ever and it's completely made of chicken! It comes on a big soft Italian bun with mozzarella and fresh basil. But since everything is made to order, you can have it the way you want it.
They even have gluten free chorizo tacos and gluten free specials.
The potato wedges are slop yo mama good!
Every person that I have taken to Delia's has loved it!
^ I agree.
But I am glad to see downtown Decatur and Sunday night poetry at Java Monkey made the list!
For the dislikes, sorry I forgot I wasn't in the Freshloaf side, I was being sarcastic. Since many of the naysayers about MARTA seem to subscribe to that belief.
LOVE Taco Veloz!
no EATS? blasphemy!
Any day at Taco Veloz is a cheap and good food day!
