Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

So says the suburban Republican. I'll bet the only trailer you've ever lived in was weekends in daddy's 32 foot Shasta.

If she isn't working on bringing back a NHL team, I don't care.

Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

She is educated, skilled and most of all experienced... She's worked in corporate, sports and entertainment and went to college in Atlanta. She is perfectly suited for the job, check her resume, trust if she is the first to hold the position in the entire league, she might just be a rockstar. Also, when she mends relations and we start selling out, we get more revenue to reinvest in our team to make it better.. Why some of yall are so mad at progress I will never know.

The reality is that if you support the federal government's eugenics programs and eugenics policies, such as the tracking of humans by their skin color and the creation of policy based on skin color, then *you* are the problem, you are continuing institutional racism today just as the federal governments on-the-plantation lapdogs have always done.

Jealous? Don't worry jimbob, if you work hard one day you might just obtain that cushy assistant manager job at Burger King you have been coveting.

"White people are stupid"

Sounds like you're on top on this diversity thing.

Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

Hey Jimbob, because white people are stupid and don't get it. That's why. If white people would go to school (not home school or private school) and learn about history and our role in the massive travesty called slavery and segregation, we would be as entitled to the role of diversity officer as anyone else. Alas, I have yet to meet a white person in Georgia who is even remotely schooled enough in the need for diversity to even apply for the job. That you made the comment is indicative of the work still to be done.

What are you talking about, jvoice? Try again, using complete sentences. Are you trying to make a connection between socialism and pro sports for some reason?

Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

The lowest paid player $816,000.00, the vast majority over $2,000,000.00 just to play a game! Where are all the CL socialists???

Not including endorsements for shoes made by child labor in Asia and sold to poor US kids for $100's of dollars!

The outrage is mis-placed.....

Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

My trivial scorecard concerning Atlanta's three major sports teams.

1. The Falcons have a new stadium under construction.

2. The Braves have a new ballfield under construction.

3. The Hawks have ... a new diversity officer.

Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

It's working! The Hawks are tied for second in the East.

Sure, it's a useless position, intended strictly as a PR bandaid to cover the failures of the ownership group, but things could be worse - Josh Smith could still be jacking up 3s as a Hawk.

Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

Hold up guys...the hawks have been mediocre for years but I think Coach Bud has something going here with this roster. For the first time, we have a head coach with an actual plan and a plan that seems to be effective.

Woodson ran the Iso-Joe offense...it was a plan but doomed to fail from the jump.

Larry Drew didn't know what a plan was....

Watch for the PG out of Germany...Dennis Schroeder. He could become something pretty special.

Re: “Can the NBA’s first-ever diversity officer turn around the Hawks' culture?

If she can dunk over Dwight Howard, and step back and take a three over Kevin Durant, she can change the culture that is most holding the Hawks back.

The culture of mediocrity.
