Re: “Jarren Benton wants Atlanta's respect

This dude is trash and gets no respect for that reason. If you have been rapping for a decade and no one knows who you are, I think you should just hang it up. Take that coon skin cap off your head youre like 35 man.

Re: “Jarren Benton wants Atlanta's respect

Gotta agree with JR on this one. This guy seems to be rehashing old sounds, which no one could accuse Outkast of doing, so I don't get the comparison.

Love the album titles, though.

"Infusing deep, hypnotic grooves with introspective beats"
Just how exactly are they introspective?

Re: “Party at the Yellow House

The people in this article didn't start all this shit at Yellow House and I Can Fly was not early 2000s. Get your facts straight.

@Gorgeous You make good points when you're focused on the music and not attacking the writer. Let's see more of that guy on here.

Re: “Raury is Atlanta's 'Indigo Child'

@The Gorgeous JR: Raury's only got three songs out, sure, but I don't think he and Frank Ocean sound that much alike. Raury's more bohemian, while Frank Ocean isn't folky at all.

Re: “Raury is Atlanta's 'Indigo Child'

Yea diannajeter, the performance had hits and misses. He's got plenty of time between now and September to improve. The whole city will be watching. No pressure.

Show some professionalism Gavin. Taking pot shots at your readers is uncalled for. I expected more from you. Now I am disappointed.

Re: “Raury is Atlanta's 'Indigo Child'

I saw raurfest, it was basically his bday party so kind of annoying for a 30 year old. He did not seem as experienced and old-soul as his music sounds. I think he will do better opening for outkast...I couldn't get a ticket so I know a bunch of teens and tweens wont be there to dumb the experience down.

Re: “Raury is Atlanta's 'Indigo Child'

Yep, got Frank Ocean next to my Katy Perry CD. I forgot you are allegedly "a former club D.J. and rock music label owner, [that] sacrifices his ears to find those 'diamond in the rough' artists so you don't have to." Guess that's why Examiner hasn't recruited your "taste" to guide their content since 2012.
