Re: “Grant Henry: The nightlife builder

No offense meant at all
to other bars/restaurants/pioneers
down on Edgewood.
My statement about taxis
was from my personal experience
of calling taxis outside of CHURCH
in December 2010 when I opened
and them saying verbatim:
"we don't come to Edgewood".
I called the management at Lenox Taxi
and told them that I had called them
for 10 years at The Local
and that they should reconsider
their decision to not come to Edgewood Avenue
because the place is packed with people
trying to hail a cap.
My hat is off to Matt at Noni's,
the Rabb's at Corner Tavern,
Sound Table,
Cafe Circa,
Thumbs Up,
and many more.
It's all about love!

Re: “East Atlanta

Nothing else cool is going to open until we get the current landlords ousted. They are willing to let places sit completely empty.

Re: “Chamblee + Doraville

If you turn on Broad Street off Peachtree Road, you will find many interesting antique, vintage and unique shops. A great destination to find some wonderful items.

Re: “East Point + College Park

My entire family grew up there and then some elders led us all to flee...but it'd love to come back. Several friends are still there from high school in the 70s. Love this revival.

Re: “West End

Thank you for this article! We visited some of the landmarks, my who knew the West End had such treasures. The ongoing revival was breathtaking to take in. The renovation has shown the West End homes for what they truly are - just beautiful, well done restoration - thanks!

Re: “Shabnam Bashiri: The activist

Boudreaux is a scam artist and apparently was able to scam you guys in to thinking he was worth saving. He stole a truck and several motorcycles from me by trading a stolen motorcycle. He instantly went on the defensive, insinuating that I was lying. I even had the detective email him, which went nowhere. When I told him he said I could "buy it back from the insurance agency". Eventually I had to make a claim with the court to allow me to put a lean on anything he owned... guess what? He owned nothing, it was worthless. I then received several emails from other people who got scammed. I hope his son had lots of fun with my truck in Louisiana. I will never forget and never forgive his actions, and I'll make sure from time to time he knows that I still know his dirty secrets. Be a man, man up and give me back what you owe me.

I have yet to find a trivia competition anywhere in Metro Atlanta as fierce as the nights we had at Rocky Mountain Pizza Kitchen north of Georgia Tech in the late 90's/early 00's.

Miss one question and you were done at that spot.
