Re: “Glenridge Hall faces demolition in the near future

And this is exactly why I moved from Atlanta to Boston, where history is treasured, celebrated and preserved. Case in point, I live in a condo on 10 acres of land that is historically registered. The property was originally a mental institution built in the 1880s. 10 acres of land, gorgeous historical buildings, in a city no less. Wow, what a concept!

Re: “ATL Neighborhood MVPs

Carrie Sagel Burns is a total powerhouse who works tirelessly for the good of Castleberry Hill. Anyone who knows her is one lucky son of a gun. Not only is she the president of the neighborhood association, but Carrie works with many charities and is the Regional VP of Delta Sigma Pi at Mercer University.

I know, I'm her business partner and get to see her in action every single day and she is the single most impressive human being I have ever met.

Re: “Georgia's 'religious freedom' bill tabled in House committee

Am sure the reaction to what happened in Indiana yesterday played into it as well. If Mike Pence had aspirations beyond the state of Indiana, he just torpedoed that out of the water with the biggest self destruct missile that one could use.

That is the perfect picture for this clown. It really captures the right balance of righteous indignation mixed with slack-jawed stupor.

Re: “Getting real about herpes

Hello, i am Amos from Uk,
All these post about HERBAL MEDICINE and spell casters are scammers and fake trying to collect money all in the name of Herpes cure and when you contact them, they will be asking for your name, pictures, country, phone number, occupation and when you have given them all the information, they will be asking for money. I was once suffering from HERPES and i spent a lot of money going from one herbal doctor to another but they all scam and take my money away until i came in contact with this powerful one called Dr. Osas who cured me from Herpes with his herbal medication, after doctor Osas has finished preparing the herbal medicine, he asked me to send him my residential address, so that he will send the herbal medicine to via D.H.L so i did. 2days later, i received the herbal medicine and i had to follow the instructions he gave to me on how i will apply it. 2weeks later i went to hospital for test and according to the test done by the Medical doctor Frank it stated that i was cured.
So viewers be wise and beware of fake spell casters and fake herbal doctors, they are all over the internet trying to steal from poor people. I will drop you the email of this powerful herbal doctor just in case you wish to contact him for help. doctorosasherbalhome@gmail.com or you can call him through his mobile number +2349039537920

That wasn't Malcolm X, it was H. Rap Brown. But you probably know him by his Muslim name - Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin.

You know, the guy who wrote "Die Nigger Die!"

Re: “Deal signs executive order for medical marijuana bill

Governor, you're on a roll here. How about an executive order expanding Medicaid and let the Legislature band together and try to impeach you for Obamaesque behavior?

Re: “Witnesses: Police officer didn't need to fire shots at Anthony Hill

Don't forget, we have to forbid kids from playing cops and robbers, cowboys and Indians, etc.

Also Malcolm X said "cherry pie" but I always assumed he meant "apple pie." Or maybe there's a hidden message...lessee...cherries are red, red means Republican...no wait...red meant Commie then...

Salesforce's CEO responded forcefully to Indiana's little act of bigotry today. Let's hope the GA GOP know-nothings are aware that Salesforce has a big and growing office in Atlanta - based on local startup Pardot. And let's hope that even they understand that the last thing we need is to scare off our tech employers and employees.

Re: “Deal signs executive order for medical marijuana bill

“We want to be able to bring children home from Colorado without us having to become Colorado,” he said.

Yea, who would want to emulate one of the top 10 states in the Union? We're happy being poor, sick, teen pregnant, ignorant, and incarcerated here in Dixie thank you very much

Re: “Glenridge Hall faces demolition in the near future

The other side of the mansion is actually far more impressive, including the gardens. I wonder if its a publicity/negotiating stunt. With The developer drawing interest to the parcel, and then in the end they will announce an agreement to save it.

After all we threw money at Mercedes to buy part of this land. And perhaps that's what bothers me the most. Because of how the GA 400 interchange is built at Abernathy, this land is not very walkable to the Northsprings or Sandy Springs Station, Mercedes should have located in a more transit friendly manner.

Looks like I won't be buying a Mercedes. Which won't be a great loss to them since I wasn't going to anyway.

Re: “State Sen. Josh McKoon: 'We are going to prevail in this debate' over the 'religious freedom' bill

After the collective shiatshow that has been the response to Indiana's passing of this onerous legislation, and the announcement from the Atlanta Convention lobby that we stand to lose tens of millions of dollars from this, does he honestly think the business wing of the state GOP (re: the actual dudes in power here) will let this go through?
