Re: “Paper Frank's beautiful dark twisted reality

JR, why you feel so fucking entitled to tell artists just what they should and should not be doing is beyond me. You don't have to be a fan of his type of artwork but don't you bring that bullshit calling his work "hipster." Instead of reading and taking the article for what it is (you probably didn't even read) you completely miss the point of the article to claim what he does is a gimmick. Yeah, he's a talented, "different," black artist but he's still an artist. I'm an artist and also a supporter of his work. You're supposedly NOT but you brought yourself here for what exactly? oh okay.

Re: “How Elevate helped change Atlanta

Maybe Atlanta can have the tagline Every Day is a Winding Road - my mom used to sing that song to me when we rode the bus

Re: “How Elevate helped change Atlanta

Dashboard Co-op is one of the many art organizations that has been shaping Atlanta over the last few years and making it the kind of city I choose to live in. We still have to make many infrastructural changes in this city to make it a GREAT city and Dashboard is definitely ahead of the curve.

Re: “Interview: André Benjamin at last

“If you're trying to make it, that's the fastest way to get the attention — to challenge the guy at the top...”

It’s the old gunfighter syndrome: A young gun looking to make a reputation has to face down the top gun in the West… and win.

Re: “Interview: André Benjamin at last

It's good to see Andre finally getting the props he deserves. He's a true talent.

That "Hey Ya" video is one of the greatest ever made.

Don't forget about Drive-Invasion next weekend in the Turner Field parking lot! It'll have 12 bands on 2 stages, 3 movies, a food truck midway and a slew of other attractions for only $25!

Re: “2014 Living Walls Conference celebrates five years of dialogue

I would like to take this opportunity to ask people to look up "Doug Dean" and "Cleta Winslow".

But really, Living Walls has brought a level of vibrance and excitement to Atlanta that I haven't seen in a long time. Thanks to them, their volunteers, and to Monica.

Re: “Lucid FC twins say goodbye to ATL

Now Lucy looks sweet 'cause he dresses like a queen but he can kick like a mule and it's a real mean team.

And that's all I got to say about that.

Re: “Lucid FC twins say goodbye to ATL

Step 1. Come up with a logo. Step 2. Print that logo on a bunch of blank clothing and merch that was designed and produced by other companies. Congrats, you're a clothing label!

CL...How about spotlighting a label that actually designs and manufacturers their clothing, rather than some "logo brand" with a shopify page.

Re: “Darien Long is gone but not forgotten at Metro Mall

Long was fired because he was doing the right thing. When you stand up against evil you may get knocked down but what's important is that he knows that though there may be many who hate him and are glad he's gone there are also those who still believe I'm him and his cause no matter how he's portrayed by the press. Also the whole comment about acting within the confines of the law well where was APD in the majority of those videos? They weren't supporting him or backing him up when he needed it and that would have diffused a lot of the situations Long had to deal with and the extreme measures he was forced to take.
