Re: “Ernest "EQ" Quarles Jazz Night

I have been there with friends many times and thoroughly enjoy the musical talent of Ernest Quarles and his band. He has made songs you know his own, putting his own spin on them and has his own original music as well. Definitely a must do on a Friday night!

Re: “Ernest "EQ" Quarles Jazz Night

I am from Music City (Nashville) and this brother's musical talents are incredible. He is creative which compliments a natural God given talent to play the guitar. His vocals are solid which supports his ability write his own music. I encourage you to buy his CD (Equinox). Well worth your enjoyment!

Re: “Fox Theatre Ghost Tours

I'm not even going to give this a rating at all. It was terrible. The Fox people need to decide whether they want a haunted house, such as Netherworld, or a real ghost tour. People who do ghost tours or ghost hunts, myself included, do not enjoy fake effects (people dressed in masks and robes following the group, someone rising up off a cot on the floor, asking if anyone wants to pet a "rat,") that same rat-holding person beating on the pipes in the boiler room, thinking he is really going to scare someone, someone jerking on a fishing line and making a chair fall over. Really, folks, is this the best you can do? In addition, the tour guide was not up on her spiel. She did not remember people's names connected with the Fox, did not exactly know how the property changed hands, giggled a lot, told a couple of vague stories of sightings by people, and kept saying, "Ooh, I hope we don't see any ghosts down here!" She had neither been tutored nor prepared to lead an authentic ghost tour. Thirty dollars a pop was really steep for what we got, which was practically nothing. Oh, yes, and the "psychic." Let's not forget about her. She may have appeared on tons of TV shows, but in my opinion, she was not real. Why should I have to ask her a question before she can give me a reading? If she's a psychic, she should get stuff from me as soon as I sit down. She was totally offbase on what she told me. If this is a "just for fun" haunted house, then tell folks that's what they will be getting. If it's a real ghost tour, then let it be just that. I'm not the only one who felt this way. I heard of others in my group who were of the same opinion, which is this: improve or discontinue.

Re: “Cirque du Soleil's Amaluna

Needless to say I'm a little ticked off. 10$ for a miller high life Really people? $38.00 FOR a small glass of white wine, a small miller high life, pretzel, cold hot dog and cold popcorn. $13.50 for a cold coffee and bottle water. I am a major cirque du soleil fan and I've seen almost every show out there. I'm not one usually complain and its a given these types of events usually are overpriced for the food and beverages but this takes the fun out of it.

disappointed and it was my birthday.... :(

Re: “Cirque du Soleil's Amaluna

The show was amazing as always!!! HOWEVER, they are robbing people with the snack food and drink prices!!!! Eat and drink before you go ! This was the fifth Cirque show at Atlantic station and the prices were always high. But this time it was outrageously priced! In the past they not only served snack foods but you could get a small entrée for a reasonable price. We went prepared to get an entrée and a couple of drinks. But as it turned out... food choices were hot dog, pretzel and or popcorn.

Re: “Simon Chang Fashion Event

Total madness, Simon Chang came in like a rock star. Beautiful boutique, something our neighborhood in the Highlands should take note of. Even though it's going to be a little drive to get there, I'll be back. Oh, and I have my first few Simon Chang pieces that he personally fit me in, this was cool.
