The food I sampled was very good, and it was nice to see such a variety of food and farm vendors in one location. Gaia Gardens is indeed a lovely spot. $45 is a bit steep for non-wine drinkers like me, but then again it was a fundraiser. The rain and drizzle did not keep the crowd away. I took photos which you can view here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jramspott/set…
Great behind-the-scenes look at a great band. All it's missing is Kris Kristofferson...but it's way better than those things, anyway.
Look forward to this St. Patty's Day venue, it looks like a lot of fun!
The time of this event has changed to 10:30 AM!
Very Cool! My Match date took me ... Just wish they served wine.
Just saw it last night. Pleasantly surprised - very talented cast and a story that everyone can connect to - especially during the holidays. Quaint theater, too!

Great documentary about how it was back in the 1960's in NYC for LGBT folks...and what happened at the Stonewall in the night of June 28th, 1969.
Love 'em. Last seen at a bright, sunny midday set during an early Music Midtown. They tore it up.

Very Very good time we had. Good food and funny characters. Everyone was pleased in our party. I will be telling many friends to go.
We had a great time. A bunch of really funny characters and the food was excellent. Did one of these kinda shows before in Chicago so I knew they are somewhat corny but that just makes it more fun. Lots of laughs. Something new to do in our little end of the world without having to haul into the city on a week night.
We are from Chicago and know deep dish pizza, and their pizza was very close, if not exactly like, the real thing. Very good. Waitress was very nice. Atmosphere was loud, but most of the loud was from families with kids! They have Italian beef, which we plan to try next. It's about time "real" Chicago pizza got here!
Pro's> (Sports Bar side) Enjoyed the deep dish pizza! Their deep dish is deep with more flour based crust rather than deep with filling (like Geno's East in Chicago) But it was very large-tasty and the sauce was spot on! Great service and reasonable drink prices! Lots of TV's. They even have a personal TV in the oversize booths.
Con> As a non-smoker the bar area gets very smoky. People sit and play those bar top video games smoking and smoking. The other side is non-smoking but not a fun place to watch sports
I agree having to wait was difficult, especially since the theatre was not my last stop of the night. I thought this play should have been at The Fox- a 45 minute wait never would have happened there. And it does suck that you didn't get to see the subtitles, because they did add a lot, but they weren't entirely necessary to enjoy the play. I have to disagree with your rating because the script was incredible, Sahr's energy was incredible, the set and costumes were incredible, and also the band. The way that they integrated Fela's Mother, Funmilayo, as an operatic angel was beautiful. It would have been helpful if the call and answer process for the "yeah yeah's" were explained at the beginning so the audience could have been a bit more interactive, but what a great story.
I just found a place called "Printapons" where I can get my fav. restaurant coupon for 90% off!! all you have to do is just print and take it.
