Re: “Artwork censored from Zuckerman Museum opening

Censorship is unacceptable, especially at a university where scholarly discourse is its raison d'ĂȘtre. This discourse includes the visual arts and more specifically, in this case, the artist's form and rationale for creating an artwork which explores the complexities and contradictions which by all accounts attempted to reflect the individual and her times in the southern United States where racism and bigotry were considered normal. Shame on the university's president for this flagrant censorship.
