These are human beings, many with no other resources. We can close down places like this and the homeless may become less visible, but they will still be out there - still broken and in desperate need.

I completely understand the church's need for a safe and sanitary environment for their members. However, if we shuffle them off to a less visible place, have we really solved the problem? Or just removed our own discomfort?

One benefit of the Central Pres location is that it is directly across the Gold Dome. Our elected officials have to consciously ignore those folks each day. And that is exactly what they do. Shame on them.
