Re: “F.R.O.G.S. Cantina

If you're down for a good lunchtime treat, take a hop down to FROGS. To describe the food is one thing, a fresh take on Mexican favorites, with a hodge-podge of world flavor. They serve everything from your typical taco to gourmet style pizzas and sandwiches. But if the weather permits, have your meal outside, they have one of the best damn patios in the city. My recommendation, try the steak tacos with a good beer or Texas margarita and thank me for it later.

Re: “'Downton Abbey' Season 3, Episode 3 Recap

Poor tragic Edith, she's the Meg of the the Crawley litter. And you're so right about these plots - too episodic. Julian needs to watch a couple episodes of Ye Ole 'Dynasty' to figure out how to put a little more wind in some of these short-lived arcs. Is it me or is Bates walking around without issue in prison while at work he was totally dependent on the cane. The penal system does have some benefit - Lazarus properties.

Here's what I hope happen, Edith becomes a bitter tart and develops a reputation for being sodden and too cat friendly (shocking lack of pets throughout the damn show). At a bar, she chums up with an American adventurer/writer who starts this whirlwind romance that stuns the other brood. after overhearing snide comments from her kin, he (I'll call him Theo) whisks her away to the states with a stern reminder before leaving that she's above their constant consternation. If slaps and pushing is involved - its a bonus.

Re: “'Cloud Atlas' takes viewers on delirious historical mapquest

I'm glad you broke it down Curt because I was trying my best (while drunk) trying to explain the concepts behind the film. I enjoyed Halle Berry's transformations more than Hanks. His were a bit too "Hanks" if you know what I mean. I wish there was a more concrete unifying thread that would been more savory than the aloof concepts it left me with at the end. Still it was as you suggested, visually stunning and had some sincerely good moments that had you going on the millennial journey.
