Re: “Mother's Day Special

The swordfish with smoke under glass was the best piece of swordfish I ever ate. Could not have been better fish or more properly executed.

Re: “Nobody effs with the Jesus (brand of canned piquillo peppers)

Love wandering the BHFM.

Scored a nice case of raw oysters from Alabama last week.

"...With nothing but a touch of salt and citric acid - no preservatives..."

When did salt and citric acid stop being preservatives?

Re: “Dad's Garage reaches Kickstarter goal

Dad's Garage was the best date move ever in the 90's before I was 21 and could take women out to get liquored-up.

Lots of fun post-21 with buckets of beer too (except that one time my friend threw-up all over the crowd).

Re: “Atlanta food events Nov. 17-23

Not sure about Atlanta-area stores, but the Whole Foods in Savannah won't let you carry your beer with you while you shop. Only in the bar area.

Lame.

Re: “AJC's website redesign, digital paywall frustrates some readers, staffers

AJC was Huffington Post before HP.

Why create your own journalism when you can just re-publish articles from AP, Reuters, etc.?

Only thing worth while was local sports coverage.

Re: “Gold Dome to finally - potentially - consider raising gas tax to fund transportation

A republican coworker was bitching about how gas isn't expensive but we just get taxed too heavy on it.

Then I showed him this nice chart at wiki showing 45.9 cents/gallon covers state and federal gas taxes. Georgia's gas taxes are pretty average.

Re: “Atlanta weekend food events Oct. 31- Nov. 2

$100 buys a lot of fresh live lobster.

Say $12/lb at 1.5 lbs/lobster. That's 5.5 lobsters without H-Mart running a $5.99/lb sale.

You should have stayed at home.

Re: “Stop parking in bike lanes, Atlanta

Petty vandalism seems like a good solution.

Keying, tire slashing, egging...
