Re: “Sober

Thanks for your article. For some it is a reminder, for others a revelation, and for some a mystery... For those who do not drink as a compulsion, they will never understand. Publishing your story reaches alot of people. For me it is a reminder. For Onedayatatime, not to pile on, but work your own program not others' go back to steps and then work on the traditions

Re: “Don't talk!

How can someone speak with the voice of authority and such absolute ignorance. Do you even own a passport? Get your Wikipedia up Vince. Liberalism/Socialism/Communism are not synonomous. For your information France has much better medical care than we do, better schools, and actually care for and respect the elderly. I didn't know we had a class structure in this country, I thought that was relegated to the "regular" Europeans, might you be confused? As for the poor, help them help themselves? What exactly is that an idle thought on Sunday or paying homage to Price Waterhouse? Better to let them starve then God forbid make them dependent, you'd be a giggle in Darfur. Better yet let them eat cake! So what's a few criminals as long as both sides have them. I didn't know we needed sides as I thought we were all Americans with "American values". What a crock of happy horse manure! Please look up complete moron , you may find it self ascribed, and please take a walk on the right side there are so many paths to self delusion. Have I mentioned lately how much I ... Mike, Kathy and Molly I really miss you. Come back soon! Mike you say it in the language of passion for all the rest of us...

Re: “What would Jesus do?

Surely in the land of super-sized religion and the family values police we could do a better job of caring for the most vulnerable among us. Many of us think nothing of plunking money into the collection plates on Sunday to support mega houses of worship or to further missionary causes in far away places endeavouring to teach people we have little understanding of how to think like us. We feed and cloth them thinking somehow this will earn us that coveted place in heaven. I am struck dumb by the previous comments. Treatment costs money. The only free treatment is prison and they are full up, and if the government is to blame, we are a reflection of that government. My brothers' keeper indeed. America land of the free and home of the selfish. Perhaps the answer is to pack up all the homeless and send them to the missions around the world, then we would'nt have to be bothered with those pesky ordinances! Good article, better reminder.
