As someone who will happily plunk down cash for an extraordinary meal, I could get past the prices at Seeger's but never the inconsistent service or funereal atmosphere. Perhaps Gunter should have traded his sangfroid for Southern hospitality. One only needs to look at the long-running success of Bacchanalia (and its offspring Quinones & Floataway) to understand that Atlanta embraces fine food when it's served with warmth and without condescension.
