I moved here from South Florida about a year ago. The whole time I was there, I couldn't wait to get to here. I love Atlanta, and never really pay attention to the negatives. Thank you for bringing awareness to these serious issues.
nice use of quotation marks, dad.
what is the latest on the Piedmont story? I haven't seen any coverage of this since Doug Monroe left town. When I Google it, I see the Loaf's 2005 cover story but not much else. The people of Atlanta deserve to know the unbiased truth about this before it's too late. Please tell me your reporters are on it.
I beg to differ. I know for a fact there is a very friendly postal worker at the post office on piedmont. She acts exactly like Tina the Alamo tour guide from Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
why do you insist on using the word "gentrification" in your restaurant reviews? I hate that fucking word. it has such negative connotations. and what exactly does it have to do with food anyway?????
I can totally relate. My stove is disconnected and I've been eating 100% restaurant food since the end of July. It is luxurious and fun to hang out in restaurants all the time, and a great way to meet other humans, but I REALLY miss my kitchen now! Thanks for a refreshing perspective on Atlanta's restaurant scene.
Re: “Eclipse di Luna”
the atmosphere and food were good, but the service was unforgivably TERRIBLE. Our poor little server got "sick" and wasn't feeling well during her shift, so she just disappeared and no manager came to check on us. Then she came back, and of course added the 20% gratuity since there were 8 of us at the table.
