Re: “Mission impossible

What a blast it was to see my favorite band all back together again, even if it was without the Count and the Rev. I remember the first time I ever saw ARU at the Avondale Town Cinema late in the eighties- I heard strange tales of this cosmic band and had to see for myself. What I got was this free-form blend of all styles of music simultaneously, and it literally blew my mind. Never before had I seen a band play their instruments with mannequin heads, tear apart a drum kit, converse with the audience through long PVC pipes, and peruse through newspapers, all this while kicking out incredible jams and never missing a beat! I was hooked forever and became an ardent follower for the next few years, rarely missing a show. Thanks to everyone who helped to put this reunion together. Now if we could just keep it going a little longer, because I don't want to have to let it go again. I raise my glass to the Colonel- he has brought the world championship wrestling belt back to Atlanta. Cheesefrog, Cheesefrog! Sputong, Sputong! Miiiiiiiilk!
