Stories like this one remind me that, no matter how screwed up we seem, we aren't that bad. Yet.
On the other hand, similarities are scary..... "demanding, you know, a government that actually reflects the will of voters"....
I'm just saying. :-)
In all seriousness, a very good article, Andisheh.
Sooner or later, the powers that be will get the message!
Who needs a study to know that resisting lessens the chances of a criminals success?
Let's see, if I resist I have a chance to reduce the criminals success rate, if I cooperate I actually HELP him.
Yeah, I need crime studies to know that. Duh.
Also, martial arts training is a good idea. Again simple logic helps us answer the question. The US military (and almost all other militaries), which fights with guns, fighter jets and bombs, teaches some martial arts to everyone who joins. You think the people who fight bad guys for a living may be on to something?
I wonder why we don't see Iraq on the news and the front page like we did last year?
I knew it was, somehow, Bush's fault.
Was she a masochist? Mentally, I mean?
I don't disagree with the ending of the F22, although it sucks for Atlanta. We have purchased more (four?) planes than originally ordered and the F22 should be replaced with the JSF F35 (http://www.jsf.mil/)
These guys are doing the same lying two step that others have done in the past by saying that a reduction in the increase is actually a cut. We heard it for years about social programs from the left, now we are hearing about it in military spending from the right.
Doesn't make it right and I said so over at Tondee's on this same subject.
I do disagree with the willingness Obama has shown to trade away missile shield deployment in Poland. Big mistake.
