I read the comment from the person upset over their Valentine's Day dinner, and I can only ask what you expected?
Valentine's Day is INFAMOUS for being a nightmare at popular restaurants. Your reservation only gets you a table, you will NEVER get seated when you planned because EVERYBODY runs their romantic dinner longer than normal evening.
That's the reason we NEVER go out to eat on V-Day. We go the day before or after, and we can pick our time and make reservations the day of.
We went the day after Valentine's Day, to Antica Posta (the best italian food in Buckhead, and right up there with Soto Soto and Baraonda for best in the city).
The service was exceptional, our resevations were honored, and everybody, especially Marco, were friendly and conversational as is the norm.
The veal chop is the best outside of Tuscany, and the Tuscan ribeye makes my mouth water just thinking about it. My wife's favorite is the bowtie lobster pasta, and if the other two weren't readily available, I'd have a hard time knot ordering it.
Some advice for all, you'll never have a perfect night on Valentine's Day. It's THE craziest, most hectic night for any restaurant. None of us would like to be judged by our performance on the most stressful day of our work year, and I'll do Marco and the rest of his fine staff the courtesy of avoiding the same.
