Re: “First Look: Bartaco

Margaritas were really good (but expensive). Tacos were pretty good (but small). Guacamole was so-so in my opinion...just didn't taste that fresh. Better than del Sol, but def room for them to improve.

Re: “Fernbank fight

Fernbank Inc. saw an opportunity to add a new feature to what has become a bland program offering (when compared to the Aquarium, the High Museum, etc.) and they took it. It was also a chance to sever ties with the dysfunctional Dekalb School District, which has been threatening to defund Fernbank Science Center for years.

The Druid Hills community has suffered for it. We used to walk with our children in the forest after school, and now we have to pay museum entrance fees for a chance to be the 20 that get to visit -- http://www.fernbankmuseum.org/calendar-of-…

Fernbank Inc. says they'll re-open for self-guided tours, and I'm sure they will, for $18 per adult/$12 per child. I'm sorry, this is nothing more than a land grab for profit.

Re: “First Look: Chick-a-Biddy

I had the Club Med Salad w/ grilled chicken added there recently. It was fantastic.

Re: “The Atlanta Bagel and Lox Smackdown

General Muir's bagels don't come close to Goldberg's. The hash skillet was delicious, but the bagel hard & chewy. Face it, Atlanta as a bagel town is a joke.

Re: “Visits to Grindhouse, Bocado, Morelli's

The last few times I've been to Grindhouse my burger has been a sloppy mess...not in a good way. The other burger shops (Yeah burger, Farm burger, etc.) have been much better...

Re: “The Televangelist: 'Mad Men' Season 5, Ep 8

This wasn't the weakest episode, but the season feels decaffeinated. We're so used to Don's philandering being this dark place, probably the darkest place, the show goes. Without that, it's playing out like a weekly update on a few characters...I hope this season gets way more debauched, and soon.

Re: “Yes, Cynthia McKinney's back

Totally agree...Georgia's political scene has been completely lacking an instigating, race-baiting do nothing for quite some time. Vote Cynthia!
