I'm one of those weirdos who thinks that if the community steps up and enough noise is made, the people in power have no choice but to listen and act. By most accounts, the powers that be have their ears open. Now's the time for people to make their argument.
Yep, all involved said early on that the Dome would be demolished and replaced by parking. But so much of the media coverage that I saw after the new renderings were released (except for Maria Saporta's column earlier this week) focused on the building - not the exterior. That's what I meant by it not garnering much attention.
