"The rear section of these floors was conceived of by Breuer as shear volume for the many books and periodicals that libraries needed in 1980."

The ADC should change their spelling of "sheer".

Re: “Residents, preservationists facepalm over Engineer's Bookstore demolition plan

I understand that you're off your meds and struggle understanding the definitions of words even when they are cut and pasted for you, but I admire that you don't know how bananas some of your comments are.

The last time I saw an out of touch old man ramble as nonsensically as you was last night during Trump's speech.

Now, please tell us more about uncle Don, that seems relevant to the historical status of this building.

Lol. I was really hoping someone realized that this historic building was related to Hitler, Obama and Putin. Glad you put the pieces together.

Re: “Residents, preservationists facepalm over Engineer's Bookstore demolition plan

Err, it's not my definition of historic. It's the literal dictionary definition that you're struggling with.

"dating from or preserved from a past time or culture"

Tell me again how there are other buildings that are older so this one can't be "historic".

Again, think your comments through before hitting "post". Seems like the dumpster fire at the RNC has you shook.

Re: “Residents, preservationists facepalm over Engineer's Bookstore demolition plan

"I see nothing historic about this 80 year old building."

What exactly do you think historic means? Hint - it doesn't necessarily mean famous.

Webster's:

Full Definition of historic
a : famous or important in history
b : having great and lasting importance
c : known or established in the past
d : dating from or preserved from a past time or culture

An 80 year old building of local significance to the community is, in fact, historic.

Honestly, some of your comments need some more thought before posting.

Meh. Hard to keep track of the Scott Walkers of the world.
