With specific reference to the etiquette rules for kids, I couldn't be more pleased with Stella. The restaurant IS family friendly but also wants to ensure the pleasurable dining experience for other non-child bearing patrons. I've had many a dinner out ruined by an inconsiderate family who either wouldn't cough up the money for a sitter or discipline their screaming, food-hurtling child. And while as a food critic, I'm sure that you do not allow your own children to behave as such in restaurants, you are greatly out numbered by the hoards of inattentive parents.
As someone who has worked for years in the service industry and thus someone who truly values the dining experience, I can only hope that more restaurants will do the same.
