Take a turn down Buford Highway and youll find at least a dozen places selling Pho. Ive tried at least half of them, and for the most part they are good. But Pho Hoa has the best Pho in town.
Lets start with their menu simple, REAL SIMPLE. There is soup, there is meat if you dont know what you are ordering, ASK. The people there will help you figure out what is what and some of them even speak decent English. And that is ok I would be weary of a Pho shop where the purveyors spoke too much English anyway. Look around and you will see enough Asians in there to give you comfort that this is GOOD FOOD.
Their appetizer menu is ok not spectacular, but then again why are you here? For the appetizers? I dont think so! I suggest you either skip the appetizer or you get one of the more authentic Vietnamese appetizers go ahead, Ive never been disappointed.
Now for the soup you have to choose from a lot of different ones, but once you make your choice you need to decide from small, medium or GIGANTIC. Ive never been able to polish off their large bowl, but if you are someone with a huge appetite go right ahead and try. The soup comes with a variety of fresh aromatic leafy vegetables and bean sprouts. Go ahead, put it all in there and stir it around. Dont forget the chili sauce either an essential element of Pho.
Chopsticks and spoon. Look around, youll see people (men and women alike) unceremoniously slurping down spoons full of spicy broth and chewing on noodles and meat chopstick after chopstick.
This isnt fine dining, its great food for a great price that warms your soul, heals your body, and fills your belly.
