Re: “Intowners claim crime has grown more brazen

I went to a candlelight vigil this morning off Memorial at the Standard restaurant in memory of a young man who worked there and was shot and killed two nights ago. The young man didn't put up any fight and money was handed over to the thieves but they still executed the young man, two shots to the head. I don't understand this violence, can't explain it, but am very concerned about the cutbacks within the Atlanta police force... The economy is bad, crime rate goes up and the police force is cut back?!! How does that make sense either? An organization is forming - Atlantans Together Against Crime & Cutbacks (ATACC) - Join their mailing list at www.atlantanstogether.org - a link to facebook is located on the home page. They are making plans for a formal protest. It's time to rally together.

Re: “Lisa Alembik

This article spurred a recollection of an interview I heard with Peter Max on NPR... Peter said, "that some advice to any artist to become successful would be to work, work, work, as much as you can and enlist a friend with the gift of gab to get you in the galleries and shows". I've got a lot of work to do!

Re: “Art House: Group efforts

Arthouse allows you to participate in art events as a community of artists solely based from social networking online. It's up to each individual artist to take the opportunity to share their art and in doing so gaining some exposure. I don't understand the negative comments above - art is what YOU make it.
