Re: “I Love New York

As a former Atlantan now living in Tribeca (for 6 years), I have to say that your experience being in NY is not like that for everyone. I have lived in 3 apartments since moving here and they all have been just as quiet as my Post apt in atlanta was.
The problem is that you got scared from that one location/experience. The fact is that New York is for a different breed of people. Not better or worse, just different. We don't care about yards. We prefer to have our grocery store or great restaurant downstairs or a short walk away as opposed to a 20 min drive away. We don't mind that we don't have cars (most actually love it). We make sacrifices to enjoy this great city and for many of us it's totally worth it.
Many of us are also quite happy, but we do get testy with tourists because they don't realize that for New Yorkers, sidewalks are our highways. If you're stopping to do something, move to the side people.
