I am a dual degree Alum from the AUC & Ga. Tech before this went down. I APPLAUD YOUR JOURNALISM. I am IMPRESSED with the quality, depth, presentation of this work, though disheartened by the development and consequences it took to recognize your magnitude of greatness.
My humble request is this wonderful and accomplished Journalist and other exert an equal or more intense effort developing an article and piece on a covert Legalized Criminal enterprise that is more detrimental to our community and has been a vast epidemic depleting families and giving creedence to the development and consequences of this DRUG, MURDER & DECIET journalistic body of work.
It is mentally debilitating and murderous to the strongest survivors (Child & Parent) of self worth, self esteem, innate beings and kindred spirits of Loving, Nuturing, and Protecting your children.
The Child Support System & Health and Human Services enforcement of only the financial aspect of the case as it mission in contrast to a dual mission of collecting and building parent-child relationships with the Non-Custodial Parent, more than superficially on paper and website.
Again this epidemic estrange child & parent, affects the youth self esteem while simultaneously instilling feelings of abandonment & unworthiness by lack of concentrated true bonding relationships with the Non-Custodial parents.
There is a pattern here, Non-Custodial parents who experience economic turbelence temporarily and fall behind on payments are subject to:
Stripping of Driving Priviledges
Stripping of Professional License
Stripping of Passport Priviledges (No International Employment)
Negative Credit Report Rating that drops score 50 points upon first missed payment,
Consequences- Do not qualify for Most Jobs that require Credit Check
DNQ for Jobs requiring Security Clearances
DNQ for Federal Jobs or Property at 5,000 or above
EVEN WORST: Non-Custodial Parent have to begin legal proceeding against Custodial parent to have Visitation Enforced.
Moreover, Non-Custodial Parent can become Felons (Indiana) because they fall behind after the above conditions are instituted to dramatically reduce chances of sustainable professional employment.
A break up / subsequent disagreements with a custodial parents should not warrant those consequences at the expense of a childs psychological and emotional development . The above penalties are more aggressive than they are for other crimes and including alledged drug dealing. Then the law makers wonder about the eroding of society, they are somewhat the architects.
Parents that truly desire to have a "positive (mental toughness to resist the lures & consequences of easy money, honor, integrity,& self sufficiency) influence" on their children that would mitigate and reduce the temptation to go for the lavish lifestyle that has ruined and plagued the many characters in this story, They are ALL Victims some more culpable than others but a victim because many are leaving children behind with pseudo strength legacies to follow unless that are strong enough to divert from the easiest route to the most fundamentalist of need and human programming SURVIVAL.
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT ADVOCATING ANYONE PICK UP TRUE DEADBEATS SLACK AND RECOGNIZE THAT SOME DESERVE THOSE IMPUTES IF THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR THEIR CHILD.
I am not a proponent of drug dealing (illegal or legal) bank robbery, embezzlement, or any other crime that create victims and suffering by their family.
However, I would NOT be offended if the ILLICIT Industries employed someone perceptive on their payroll to daily monitor the occurrences at the Child Support Office to screen and contributed some of the profits to the Child Support Office thru Non-Custodial Parent to gel and bridge some of these children and Non-Custodial parents back together to uplift (Child, Family) the community in a much needed regard.
However warped it might sound, it would be worth effort and a threshold to getting back to the innate greatness within us as humans, especially Black & Latino Humans who are severely impacted by this Legal Continuing Criminal Enterprise.
